Footnotes

  1. Elizabeth told Noel that she and her friend Mandy were inseparable as they had known each other since they were 12 years old. Noel told Mandy she should come down from the audience and play the game with her best friend as a duo, and so the game was played by Mandy and Elizabeth together throughout the entire show. They intended to split the money between them, and so ended up with £20,000 each.
  2. The first birthday episode of Deal or No Deal. The boxes were coloured gold and had a 'I am 1' badge on them. There was a special opening sketch with guest Jon Culshaw impersonating Noel Edmonds.
  3. The Banker told David J that if he took out the 1p in the first round, he would give each player £250 and each audience member a bottle of champagne. The 1p was the second number David J picked.
  4. The viewer's competition was special because the winning viewer won exactly what David J won - in this case, £70,000, the highest viewer payout ever.
  5. In celebration of Bonfire Night, the boxes were dark blue with a rocket on them, and the contestants all wore hats and scarves.
  6. Kelly said that she would have swapped Box #11 for Box #12. Her original box, Box #11, contained £100,000 and Box #12 would have contained £10,000.
  7. The 300th show. £10,000, £20,000 and £30,000 were up for grabs in the viewers' competition.
  8. The Banker's original offer stood at £9,100. Mary said "Well he couldn't even make it £10,000!" This lead to the banker ringing back and increasing the offer to £10,000. Mary dealt at this.
  9. This is the 100th show that the £250,000 was not in the contestant's box.
  10. The original offer was £17,750. However, The Banker later called and gave Alasdair two other offers to consider: £20,000 and £23,500. He later changed the actual offer to £20,000.
  11. The Banker gave Neil a gift of a bottle of bubble bath, and the offer included a loofa to go with it.
  12. Contestant Amanda's stepson, Gareth Edwards, died about a week prior to her show, and his funeral was held on the day her show was to be aired. Therefore, a repeat of Kirsty's game, show 132, April 4, was shown instead of Amanda's.
  13. The banker decided to stick with his second offer and kept the offer at £8,100 BUT also added a meal for 2 as Ingerlise was looking for a man and the banker thought it might be him. On the next offer he increased his offer to £14,400 but added a single red rose instead of the dinner for 2.
