Chanting "BLUE! BLUE! BLUE!" makes me cringe.

It often seems to come just before a power 5 box.

If I ever was on the show, I would insist on no chanting, or that everyone would chant something else, like "Ommmmmmm" or something. :-D

Sorry to disappoint! I would love to be someone from the show, but they never seem to be recruiting when it occurs to me to apply. LOL.

Glad to see I am not alone in disliking the chants. Hooray that they are on the way out.

Other traditions I'm not keen on: The curtsying/bowing on the way to the crazy chair. Hmm. What else?

The Blue chant does get on my nerves a bit now.

Although if my mum gets on the show she is French so the chant would be...

Bleu Bleu Bleu Bleu!!!!

At least that would make a slight variation lol.

If I was playing too I would say at beggining I want none of that blue blue blue chant nonsense because it does not make a difference and it gives me headaches.

When a high red is picked it just seems to make it worse if the blue chanting has preceeded it. This seems to have happened all too frequently. :?

That would be funny! Make sure she requests it if she gets on Daniel.

Was it Noel that started off all the chanting?

Shouldn't the chanting - if it is to be done - happen as the player is trying to select which should be the next box to be opened?

Well sometimes he starts it with the usual 'let's have an all blue round, it must be a blue' then one of the contestants starting saying blue and the rest of them follow suit

I have to say though this past Thursday and Friday haven't been too bad and the chanting hasn't gone too OTT

is it a spoiler to reveal that the chat has actually been banned in the studio now? I ain't sure at which point it happens, but definately by show 500!

Is show 500 being shown on TV soon? I didn't notice any blue chants at Vikki's game or are they done so much I've become immune to them?

Surely we can't be on show 500 already?

It wasn't that long ago we were on on show 400!

As for my previous post, I meant that it was Nol that first encouraged the chanting of "Blue! Blue! Blue!" many moons ago; am I correct?

I'm fully aware he doesn't initiate it on recent shows ;)

I'd like to see Raj's game (May last year) again, as I believe that was the first time it was seen, and it would be interesting to see the circumstances of it and who started it off!

(Today's show is number 435 by the way - 500 must have been recorded some time ago though.)

I have Raj's game! It starts from somewhere in the audience; I think Suezan was there for that one so maybe it was all down to her! :P Noel says "Let's have another all-blue round" and the chanting starts, Raj asks them all to hold hands and it picks up a bit, but then stops once he's chosen the box (Peter with 10p). It starts up again while Raj is thinking then stops again once he's chosen the box (Jason with £1,000). Rich (in a rare speaking role) blames the audience for not holding hands, so they all start chanting louder, until James reveals the £5k and kills the game. A fine example of just how effective the chants are...

I had nothing to do with it!

I think they've unbanned the chants recently, though.
