Well we know that the blue chants are on their way out at some stage, according to people who have attended filming recently... but at the moment, in terms of what we're seeing on screen, they seem to be getting more and more extreme - so I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread to follow it and see at what point they disappear!

It can also be used to track things like how early in the game they appear, or any different chants like "red", "1p" etc...

Starting with Joe's game today, the major new feature was Noel conducting the chant into the first break, asking the audience to stand up and get louder etc! Let's hope that one isn't repeated...

What am I going to chant or shout out at home now, apart from "Ooooh!" (like I'm watching the football apparently) ?

 That was the funniest moment in recent memory! No disrespect to Joe, but the blue chants have really got out of hand lately with them starting in the first round. Hopefully this will put a stop to them once and for all.

Actually fewer chants in Nathan's game than there have been recently. Chants started in the 3rd round. Today's blue chants resulted in 5 red amounts and 2 blues. The chants clearly work. Hmm...

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

When will they be gone for good? Did anyone notice today that when it got down to the three boxes at the end someone in the audience started chanting "blue." I thought "well, duh, of course it's going to be blue, that's all that's left."

they chanted blue for the joke side of it, not as if they seriously were chanting blue.

People do that.

The blue chants seem to have virtually disappeared now... and the current shows were recorded at the beginning of March - the time when they got really bad on screen and we were all complaining about them on here! I wonder if Endemol read the forums and took the appropriate action and got rid of the blue chants?

There are some who like them however...I think they haven't banned them totally, just the odd one.

Noel makes quite a few subtle references to superfans of the show (like us), and it's common for other TV shows to read similar forums to gain feedback about their shows, so I would expect these forums are read by producers or other staff back and forth.

It seems Nigel was the main chanter-starter back in March. He didn't just do Blue, but "Penny, penny, penny!" (Chantelle) and "Quarter of a million, quarter of a million!" (Steven). I forget if he started the "Three, three, three" in Doug's game or not - Gus seemed to start them too, but I dunno if he did or whether he just chanted them louder than everyone else.

If you think that blue chants will be gone forever soon then you'll be disappointed, though.
