...or, as alternative titles "The League of Gamblers" or "The Wakey Factor"!

Who are the biggest gamblers on here, and who's the most cautious? We could all probably pick a couple of names in each category, but let's see how the figures add up.

I've compiled the list of when people would deal in the last four games (Alain, Leila, Kev and Graeme) from George's "What would you have done today?" thread. For those who have posted twice or more, I have worked out their time of deal compared with the "average" person, including the contestant. Where they were undecided, e.g. between the 4th and 5th offer I have used "4.5" for when they would have dealt. Averaged out over the shows gives the following table:

For the latest table click HERE - the one below is the first version.

Code:
basicasic +1.95
jmas07 +0.92
Aaron Brock +0.68
Zeddie +0.65
George +0.36
Tom +0.35
CrazyChair +0.18
TOM22 0.00
Lewis246 -0.08
Power5 -0.17
James1978 -0.34
Ben Miller 176 -0.48
KP -0.58
justcause110 -0.66
daniel4389 -1.08
h2005 -1.17

One or two surprises here, Daniel and H are by no means gamblers but I wouldn't expect to see them as the most cautious people on here! Will be interesting to see how it develops over future games...

I'm not much of a gambler, so I reckon I'd have a similar score to H and Daniel.

Quite surprised to see jmas / Wakey beating basicasic! I thought they'd be about equal.

Wow! I'm more cautious than KP?! I think this is somewhat skewed! :P I just hope Endemol aren't reading this otherwise I'll never get on the show! ;)

Still, I suppose things can, and will, change with time!

Sorry, I meant the other way around - I'm quite surprised to see basicasic beating jmas / Wakey!

Rumbled at last! I recently discovered the elixir of youth and when I sip some I metamophise from basicasic and write as wakey. Unfortunately the potion wears off and I then write as basicasic until I drink some more :D

I seem to be quite cautious, but nearly average.

I had a feeling I'd be somewhere about the middle - I reckon I'd take some risks but wouldn't play to the end very much the way the offers have been lately. 8 or 5 boxes left is usually the time to go for me I feel, but very rarely 11 box! :)

I can't believe I came top !! People will think I'm a reckless gambler when in reality I just like to take advantage of a promising board.

I would definately deal in a 1 box game unless the £250k or £100k was there when I would give careful consideration to the rest of the board and then no-deal.

And how many games have we seen recently when 1 more no-deal would have gotten the player a lot more money.

Well so far you have a 100% record of saying "no-deal to the end", from 3 games (no post on the thread for Kev's game). Wakey's actually voted for a couple of final offer deals, putting him well behind in the table!

Interesting how different people approach it though, I'd be more likely to deal in a £250k one-box game than almost any other scenario, unless the offers were really insulting (which they sometimes can be!)

In Kev's game I would have no dealt until the final 2 and then dealt. If it had been anything other than the 1p I would have no-dealt.

Interesting that the negative psychology surrounding the 1p strikes again!

I'd probably have dealt at £21,000 today, so that's me heading down the list!

It probably has more of an effect than the banker thinks too. I reckon a lot of people would deal at a really derisory offer rather than risk taking home 1p.

Having said that if he insulted me with a poor offer I'd no-deal. :)

Interesting...I think I am fairly cautious in some respects, in that I'd probably play the money rather than the board. I'd find it very very hard to turn down anything over £20k, and over about £35k I'd just deal automatically unless there was absolutely no disaster scenario whatsoever. Whereas under about £10k I'd be quite prepared to gamble if there was still really big money on the board.
