PJ and Belinda's games now added to the scoreboard.

Code:
basicasic +1.58
jmas07 +1.25
Aaron Brock +0.91
george +0.87
Adam L +0.82
Zeddie +0.65
Tom +0.54
Lewis246 +0.36
CrazyChair +0.31
Power5 +0.29
justcause110 +0.23
TOM22 +0.18
"The Banker" -0.14
Duffer -0.18
James1978 -0.30
daniel4389 -0.44
wokoman88 -0.50
KP -0.61
Simon F -0.64
dond_knight -0.67
h2005 -0.78
Ben Miller 176 -0.85
Mental Mickey -1.68
greeny -1.75

The top three remain the same, their scores reducing only because more people would have gambled to the end in these two than in previous games.

greeny moves closer to the pack by actually going as far as the fifth offer twice in succession! Still waiting for Mental Mickey to comment on the last two games.

(By the way, if you've disappeared from the table it's because only those with 5 or more games are now included - post your actions for this month's other games on the thread and you will be put back in!)

Updated Wakey Factors for last three games.

Code:
basicasic +1.54
jmas07 +1.24
george +0.98
Aaron Brock +0.87
Zeddie +0.66
Adam L +0.65
Tom +0.58
Lewis246 +0.34
Power5 +0.24
CrazyChair +0.23
TOM22 +0.01
Duffer -0.18
James1978 -0.30
daniel4389 -0.34
"The Banker" -0.36
wokoman88 -0.53
KP -0.61
Simon F -0.64
dond_knight -0.79
h2005 -0.81
Ben Miller 176 -0.94
greeny -1.59
Mental Mickey -1.68

Mickey returns to the bottom of the table due to some less cautious deals from Greeny, but he still has a few shows to "catch up" when he's back from Geordieland!

Qualification for inclusion is at least 7 games out of a possible 15. The final table will be based on 20 games, and those who give an opinion on at least 10 of them will be included!

You just post in the What would you have done today thread for at least 7 of the games.

Although I said 20 games before, given that it started on the 1st May I think perhaps I will use all the May shows (excluding the Classic repeat shows on Saturdays). That will be about 27 games I think.

Anyone posting on at least half the games will be included in the final table. (Update to follow soon.)

Here's the latest update - as a comparison I've now included an overall score for the playing contestants in the table! As I expected, on average they're slightly more cautious than the average forum member, although not by as much as I'd have expected.

Code:
basicasic +1.57
Unix eight +1.50
daniel123 +1.45
jmas07 +1.31
george +1.03
Aaron Brock +1.00
Adam L +0.63
Tom +0.60
Zeddie +0.45
Lewis246 +0.41
Power5 +0.33
CrazyChair +0.09
TOM22 +0.03
CONTESTANTS -0.14
rico7 -0.21
Duffer -0.22
daniel4389 -0.34
wokoman88 -0.34
James1978 -0.35
"The Banker" -0.45
KP -0.53
h2005 -0.67
Simon F -0.67
dond_knight -1.00
Ben Miller 176 -1.06
greeny -1.67
Mental Mickey -1.68

A shock development at the top of the table, basicasic could have a fight on his hands from two newcomers in the top three! Who will take the title of forum's biggest gambler? I think the person in 4th place can probably be ruled out now...
Greeny and Mental Mickey are virtually level at the other end of the table, though Mickey is going to need a few more games to actually qualify for the final table.

I suppose all I have to do is no-deal every game to the end to keep top spot, but to quote Noel, I will play on with total honesty.

Mind you I guess there is nothing to stop any newbie joining late and state they would no-deal all the games to the end to snatch a shock victory!

If they call themselves jmas08 I might be slightly suspicious. ;)

Anyway, another interesting statistic:

Contestants' Wakey Factor before Lynn's game was +0.13.
Contestants' Wakey Factor for the 4 games after Lynn's is -1.19! That's almost in the greeny league. Now it's not many games to compare over, and some or all of them may be naturally cautious anyway, but it has clearly had an effect.

It doesn't surprise me. The scenes in Lynn's game were, well, quite traumatic and I imagine what we saw was an edited version. The contestants will have seen the whole unabridged proceedings and I can't imagine it not affecting their game plans.

But I guess that as time goes on the effect will wear off, and a couple of decent wins will help people forget.

It'll be interesting to see what the Wakey Factor does as the game recedes in players minds.

And if everyone had gone to the end, only Peter would have won something decent....

Wow, I've gone down quite a few places, and I've seen Unix Eight used to be a dealer. What happened?

All these mad reckless gamblers will go back to their cautious dealing ways the minute the Dealometer is finished. :?

I don't think it's a "competition" really, I'd like to think everyone is being honest about what they would do. There's no "winners" and "losers" here, as far as I'm concerned every approach to playing the game is equally valid, as long as we get a good variety on the show itself!

Anyway I don't remember Unix Eight ever being a dealer, he was a definite no-dealer in the early stages of this but then didn't post for a while, he's just not one of the more vocal no-dealers!

Yes, Unix Eight always has been a no dealer judging by his "what would you have done today" thread posts!

Whereas i think i've always been known as a genuine gambler - and it is actually in my nature to be like that so by no means is this reckless gambler faking it

i agree about some of the other reckless gamblers though.
