New year, new me Deal! Season 5 brought some great moments and lots of huge wins, so the Banker wants to do two things: mix things up even more, and give himself a bit more help!

This time, each game will feature one of six boards, one of six Box 23 rosters, and one of six Game Modes. Each game has 22 boxes, and unless stated otherwise below, has offers at 17-, 14-, 11-, 8-, 6-, 4- and 2-box.

    BOARDS:
  • ROLLING JACKPOT: Follows the classic board where each amount (other than 1p) is scaled up to the Rolling Jackpot, which increases by up to £25,000 for each Rolling Jackpot game that ends in a win under £250,000.
  • BETWEEN THE LINES: 22 values ranging from 5p to £375,000, taking the averages between the consecutive numbers on the standard UK board.
  • ?! RANDOM !?: 22 completely random amounts. The blues are guaranteed to be under £1,000 and the reds anywhere between £977 and £303,879.
  • DOUBLE OR NOTHING: The classic UK board, where all blues are reduced to NOTHING and all the reds are doubled.
  • SUPER 6: A revised version of the £600,000 board from Season 5. Same board as the UK but the top 6 are £40k/£90k/£160k/£250k/£360k/£600k.
  • NOAH'S ARK: 22 boxes with 2 each of: 1p, £1, £10, £100, £500, £2,000, £5,000, £12,500, £25,000, £75,000, £250,000.

    BOX 23s:
  • AARON 6.1: TRIPLE / DOUBLE / +£25,000 / HALF / QUARTER / ULTRA DRAIN
  • SUPER 6: 360% / 250% / 160% / 90% / 40% / 10% / NOTHING
  • SWEET & SOUR: HYPER BONUS / SUPER THRUST / SMALL UPSHIFT / STANDARD DOWNSHIFT / SUPER DRAIN / HYPER CRUSH
  • ALL OR NOTHING: A six card menu consisting of three NOTHING cards plus three random hefty positive cards, ranging between DOUBLE and QUADRUPLE including BONUS and THRUST cards, DOUBLE STAKES, and fixed cash amounts from the lower 4 of the current board's Power 5.
  • 2 UP 2 DOWN: A four-card roster consisting of: (1) A percentage from 100% to 400%; (2) An additive from +£5,000 to +£50,000; (3) a subtractive from -£2,500 to -£25,000 that is half of card 2; (4) a percentage between 25% to 100% that is exactly 1 divided by card 1.
  • LUCKY DIP: A completely random seven-card roster. One card is guaranteed to be a positive, one card is guaranteed to be a negative, and exactly one will be a meta card.

    GAME MODES:
  • AARON'S ARCADE: Your two highest blues and two lowest reds are replaced with four MYSTERY boxes, which take four of 22 values ranging from £1,000 to £500,000. MYSTERY 1 will always contain the smallest of the four amounts, and go up in increasing value with MYSTERY 4 containing the largest mystery value. A Box 24 comes into play, and starts with just MONEY BACK, but at the start of each round you must call out what colour you think the first value will be, blue or red. Each correct call (which includes any round that starts with a MYSTERY box) adds a random positive card to the roster, whilst every incorrect prediction adds a random negative card to the roster. Box 24 is locked when a Deal is done. At the end of your game, you can choose to buy Box 23 or Box 24 (or neither), unless you accept a conditional offer that states otherwise.
  • A TALE OF TWO BOXES: Pick a second box to bring to the table. You receive your final offer at 3-box. If you are still in live play after that offer, you will win the higher of the two boxes. A SWAP offer allows you to swap one of your two boxes for one remaining in the wings.
  • MY KIND OF DEAL: The twist where you're in control of the game. Your lowest eight reds are combined and the total is increased by 20% - and then you get to re-distribute that total sum between those eight boxes however you wish. Gameplay then begins, but you can request an offer whenever you like, as often as you like, requesting an exit figure you would like to receive from the Banker. It is up to the Banker as to whether he will accept that and give you the money (Deal) or whether he refuses, meaning you need to open at least one more box (No Deal).
  • TWELVE SHIFT: At the start of the game, three of your board values will decrease in value, and three will increase. Then, before each of the Banker's first six calls, one of the remaining amounts will shift in a direction and magnitude determined by your remaining board amounts. Blues owe to downshifts, reds to upshifts. The more extreme the value, the bigger the shift it causes.
  • SPLIT DECISION: Your board is randomly split into two 11-box games you will play simultaneously. On each board, you will get offers at 8-, 6-, 4- and 2-box. You will end up with a win from the Blue Board and the Red Board, which are then placed randomly into envelopes. The Banker will then make one final offer to leave with neither of those wins. If rejected, you will select one envelope and leave with the winnings from either the Blue or the Red Board.
  • PREDICTION PLAY III: Throughout this game, three predictions are made in an attempt to improve their Box 23. At the start of the game, Box 23 is compulsory. Predictions within 20% qualify for an improvement, and you receive 1 point for every 0.1% better than 20% your prediction is. Box 23 becomes optional if you reach 270 points. Below is a points ladder, and how that affects your Box 23 outcomes.
    • 540 - 600 points: No Downside Box 23 + Bonus Box activated
    • 450 - 539 points: No Downside Box 23 activated
    • 360 - 449 points: Worst option becomes MONEY BACK
    • 300 - 359 points: Worst option is antidoted (becomes the average of the stake and its original effect)
    • 240 - 299 points: Unmodified
    • 180 - 239 points: Best option is poisoned (becomes the average of the stake and its original effect)
    • 120 - 179 points: Best option becomes MONEY BACK
    • 60 - 119 points: No Upside Box 23 activated
    • 0 - 59 points: No Upside Box 23 + Salvage Box activated

But, it doesn't stop there! There are now Power-ups you can apply to your game that can either help or hinder you. There are 18 to choose from. You must pick one for your game, but you may choose up to three. Any choices made, of course, are at random. See below for a list of all power-ups:
  • DEAL DICE: Six D6 dice come into play that can be used for conditional offer play from the Banker.
  • DICTATOR: The Banker can make offers whenever he wants, and also will decide whether you purchase Box 23 with your winnings. This overwrites the power to create your own offers in My Kind of Deal.
  • SUPER OFFER BUTTON: This gives you a live Offer Button for your game, which is guaranteed to be of a high generosity. This produces an offer that is the lower of (a) 75% of the average, and (b) 150% of the 'Log Fair Deal' explained in more detail here, but for the purposes of my series, all amounts are modified by taking the natural log of each amount plus £32,000. In My Kind of Deal, it can be used to play a second bid after one is rejected. Any requested offers less than or equal to the Super Offer Button valuation are guaranteed to be accepted.
  • BONUS BOX: After Box 23 is dealt with, you can then open the Bonus Box to increase your winnings further. The Bonus Box may contain one of these cards (taking the most valuable option on each level):
    • DOUBLE or +£35,000
    • ADD HALF or +£7,500
    • +25% or +£1,500
    • +10% or +£250
    • MONEY BACK
  • SALVAGE BOX: The nasty brother of the Bonus Box. Any winnings at the end of the game can be reduced by the Salvage Box which contains MONEY BACK / -5% / -10% / -25% / HALF.
  • 23 SPLIT: For wins over £20,000, you can choose to buy Box 23 for anything between £20k and the win itself, unless you accept a Box 23 conditional offer from the Banker.
  • STRAIGHT SHOOTING: The Banker cannot make any conditional offers on Box 23 or anything else except for the Deal Dice.
  • PLAYER REPLAY: The player has the option to replay one round only. If saved to the end, they can replay a Box 23/Bonus Box/Salvage Box draw or Deal Dice roll.
  • BANKER REPLAY: The Banker has the option to replay one round only. If saved to the end, they can replay a Box 23/Bonus Box/Salvage Box draw or Deal Dice roll.
  • BONUS UPSHIFTS: At two points in the game (no later than 4-box), the player can trigger a random upshift (of a random magnitude) of a random remaining box value. MYSTERY values in Aaron's Arcade cannot be shifted.
  • FORCED DOWNSHIFTS: At two points in the game (no later than 4-box), the Banker can trigger a random downshift (of a random magnitude) of a random remaining box value. MYSTERY values in Aaron's Arcade cannot be shifted.
  • 23 AGAIN: You get the option to purchase Box 23 twice. The second time, Box 23 is unaffected by any conditional offers.
  • RED CARD: Adds a random red (positive) card to your Box 23 roster.
  • RANDOM CARD: Adds a random card to your Box 23 roster.
  • BLUE CARD: Adds a random blue (negative) card to your Box 23 roster.
  • POISON: A random positive Box 23 card is poisoned, takes the average of MONEY BACK and its original effect. This is revealed before the start of the game.
  • ANTIDOTE: A random negative Box 23 card is antidoted, takes the average of MONEY BACK and its original effect. This is revealed before the start of the game.
  • COUNTER OFFER: At one point in your game, rather than electing to 'Deal' or 'No Deal', you can propose a counter offer instead. It is then up to the Banker if he wants to 'Deal' and give you that money to buy your box, or to 'No Deal' and to force you to play the next round instead. This can also be used in My Kind of Deal to avoid opening another box to get another offer.

This season will also include a bunch of brand new Box 23 cards which haven't been seen before, each based off of the concept of KP's BONUS.

BONUS cards:
These cards are always the best of either an additive or a multiplicative option. Season 6 features four of these:
  • BONUS: Best of +£5,000 or ADD HALF
  • SUPER BONUS: Best of +£15,000 or DOUBLE
  • HYPER BONUS: Best of +£35,000 or TRIPLE
  • ULTRA BONUS: Best of +£75,000 or QUADRUPLE

DRAIN cards:
Of course the BONUS cards need a negative mirror image, and that's where the DRAIN cards come in. They take the worst of either a subtractive or a percentage option. There are also four of these:
  • DRAIN: Worst of -£2,500 or 75%
  • SUPER DRAIN: Worst of -£7,500 or HALF
  • HYPER DRAIN: Worst of -£15,000 or QUARTER
  • ULTRA DRAIN: Worst of -£35,000 or 10%

THRUST cards:
So what happens when you combine the two effects of the BONUS cards? You get the four THRUST cards!
  • THRUST: +£5,000 to your stake and then ADD HALF
  • SUPER THRUST: +£15,000 and then DOUBLE
  • HYPER THRUST: +£35,000 and then TRIPLE
  • ULTRA THRUST: +£75,000 and then QUADRUPLE

CRUSH cards:
The antitheses of the THRUST cards are the CRUSH cards:
  • CRUSH: Reduce stake to 75% and then -£2,500
  • SUPER CRUSH: HALF and then -£7,500
  • HYPER CRUSH: QUARTER and then -£15,000
  • ULTRA CRUSH: 10% and then -£35,000

STRETCH cards:
Another combination of the above effects, it takes the subtractive effects of the DRAIN cards and then applies the BONUS multiplier. If the subtractive part is enough to reduce the initial stake to zero or less, the card is worth NOTHING.
  • STRETCH: -£2,500 and then ADD HALF
  • SUPER STRETCH: -£7,500 and then DOUBLE
  • HYPER STRETCH: -£15,000 and then TRIPLE
  • ULTRA STRETCH: -£35,000 and then QUADRUPLE

SQUEEZE cards:
These take the additive effects of the BONUS cards and then applies the DRAIN dividers.
  • SQUEEZE: +£5,000 and then 75%
  • SUPER SQUEEZE: +£15,000 and then HALF
  • HYPER SQUEEZE: +£35,000 and then QUARTER
  • ULTRA SQUEEZE: +£75,000 and then 10%

As of Game 201, we will be adding in meta cards which can affect the options chosen from the current menu at the end of the game. If a meta card is picked, the player must pick another card from the same randomised draw of options. When the money menu is viewed, the value shown is always the EV of that meta play at the given stakes.

META cards:
  • DOUBLE STAKES: Doubles the purchase price for Box 23 and affects all other outcomes accordingly. Any fixed value cards are also doubled.
  • £ / % BOOST: Increases the purchase price for Box 23 by the stated amount/percentage, and affects all other outcomes accordingly. Any fixed value cards are unaffected.
  • HALF STAKES: Halves the purchase price for Box 23 and affects all other outcomes accordingly. Any fixed value cards are also halved.
  • £ / % TAX: Reduces the purchase price for Box 23 by the stated amount/percentage, and affects all other outcomes accordingly. Any fixed value cards are unaffected.
  • NO DOWNSIDE: Applies the No Downside condition for the current Box 23 price and affects all other outcomes accordingly.
  • NO UPSIDE: Applies the No Upside condition for the current Box 23 price and affects all other outcomes accordingly.
  • TWIN UP: The player selects two other Box 23 options from the current draw, and wins the larger of the two.
  • TWIN DOWN: The player selects two other Box 23 options from the current draw, and wins the smaller of the two.
  • 50/50: The player selects two other Box 23 options from the current draw, and wins the average of the two.

I've made a few tweaks to the current Season 6 setup ahead of Game 201. No changes to any of the current twists or board will be made, but there'll be some Box 23 changes:

  • DOUBLE OR NOTHING Box 23 has been replaced with ALL OR NOTHING - A six card menu consisting of three NOTHING cards plus three random hefty positive cards, ranging between DOUBLE and QUADRUPLE including BONUS and THRUST cards, DOUBLE STAKES, and fixed cash amounts from the lower 4 of the current board's Power 5.
  • AARON 6.0 Box 23 has been tweaked to become AARON 6.1 - TRIPLE / DOUBLE / +£25,000 / HALF / QUARTER / ULTRA DRAIN
  • There are a new set of Box 23 cards called meta cards which includes ones like DOUBLE STAKES which have been seen already. The above post will be updated with a full list. There can be no more than one meta card on any particular menu
  • There are a new set of Box 23 cards (what, more?!) called the STRETCH and SQUEEZE cards inspired by the BONUS, THRUST cards and the like.
  • LUCKY DIP will now be expanded to a seven-card menu. Four completely random cards, one guaranteed positive, one guaranteed negative, one guaranteed meta card.
