No Deal!

Hopefully we'll get the £15,000 - £20,000 finish.

Round 5 results

In live play
jakecarroll84 (5/5)
willrelf (5/5)

Dealt at first offer
American Coupon Boy (1/1)
daniel123 (1/1)

Dealt at fourth offer
hogwild94 (3/4)

Dealt at fifth offer
Archstered (5/5)

Round 6

Indeed, let's hope for a £15k/£20k finish!

2 - £15,000 :(

Well, it's still a one box game. We can still stuff American Coupon Boy's mouth with £20,000.

9 - £50

I might be jinxing ourselves, but let's please find the penny...

10 - £10

Not a jinx, but it's also not the penny. Very scary finish!

Or, if you prefer the squashdown version:

Banker time...

With an accepted negotiation, Deal. Thanks Banker. I would never want to go home with 1p so any reasonable offer would get me out of the chair at that point.

It's a good thing a negotiated, as I would've dealt at the 1st offer regardless of it being accepted because of a) my philosophy that you should Deal any opening offer above £15,000 as you're unlikely to get a lot more out of an average game and b) I was going on vacation with my family this week and I did not want to endanger my perfect attendance. Also, had I gone on, I would've No Dealt the 8 box offer and negotiated £5,000 at 5 box and dealt it if it was successful, so I probably would've won a lot less than £17,000.

By the way, Saperogo, what were the maximum negotiable offers in this week's game? :ponder:

Sorry for the abrupt post; I had a friend over and had to budget a minute of my time into making that reveal.

The maximum negotiable offers this week were always £1,500 higher than the actual offer. For instance, American Coupon Boy negotiated the max negotiable offer of the first offer (£15,500 was the actual offer; he negotiated £17,000). The highest max negotiable offer was the fourth offer at £17,500; if you're going for a "Banker Milking" kind of victory, I'd think taking the highest max negotiable offer should be the proper criterion. :smt023

The past three weeks have featured various patterns for the max negotiable offers due to the real-life workload I've been facing. Starting next week, each max negotiable offer will go back to being individually selected. :)

That really is a kick in the teeth for me haha. At 8-box I offered a negotiation of £18,000, which was only £500 more than the max negotiable offer. Had it been accepted I would have been out of the chair. As it was, it was declined and I ended up with £6000 instead, a third of what I wanted. :P
