Round 1

Box 8 has been randomly selected to be this week's box on the table. KP is selecting this week's boxes. Will he make better selections than hogwild94?

...three of his first five choices are the numbers I always keep until the end!

1 - £1 :D

16 - £15,000

Eh. If we had kept that to the end, it either would've been a comfortable fallback or a nice consolation prize.

12 - £100

Looking OK so far...

21 - £250

I'm glad we didn't keep that one until the end.

18 - £750

Good opening round!

I think this is the 4th £15,000/4 blues (counting £1,000 as basically a blue) opening round of the experiment. :blueponder

Anyway, I'd offer £14,000 on this board, as the textbook offer for that opening round is £15,000, but most of the blues were high ones.

Unfortunately, we have another dickhead running the Bank. :smt011 :smt019 I tried to negotiate a reasonably higher offer, but he rudely declined it. ABSOLUTELY NO DEAL.

Maybe if you were a nicer person, then he would have accepted your negotiation. :smt023 ;) :smt011

Such negotations would be wasted... another first offer, another NO DEAL! :smt023

Already we're in dealable territory.

I'm prepared to take a chance this won't be the last time we're there, though. NO DEAL.

At the end of the game, I will be offering the SWAP to all participants (or hypo-swap to all who have dealt by that point) other than American Coupon Boy.

I'm not sure how offering £17,600, which is 54.44% of the mean and 135.81% of the Fair Deal, is really 'dickhead' behaviour anyway. :smt023

Particularly as the negotiation in question was for an offer of £19,999...

See, I would've preferred it if you had a fit of rage and acted out on it. That your actions were not only intentional but flavored with some malicious intent is far from admirable.

There is a punishment coming.

OK, I admit I went a little bit overboard.   I just got caught up in the moment, something that I can't help but to do sometimes on this forum. Therefore, I've decided to register for a Digital Spy account today, so that I can let out all my built up rage there, on a forum where it's nearly impossible to get banned.

Round 1 results

In live play
American Coupon Boy
Archstered
KP
Skyline

Round 2

Let's do this.

10 - 50p :D

9 - £50 :D

A third blue probably puts us at the strongest board before the second offer we've had in this experiment. I'll leave it to ACB to verify that.

3 - £75,000 :(

Unfortunate sting in the tail.

Yep, had the last box been a blue, it would've been the strongest board yet (beating the one we had the week Skyline was guest banker by less than £1,000 on the board). Still, after that round, I would've stuck at £14,000, setting up a very tempting £20,000+ 3rd offer should a good round ensue. Hopefully daniel123 also sticks or goes up.
