Hello, and welcome to Week 14 of What Would You Really Do?!

Last week saw some truly exciting tension. A very powerful opening , and middle too, and, well, ending as well! A climax with £10,000 and £100,000 and an offer of £45,000 in which the three remaining players each made distinct decisions! But now American Coupon Boy has a commanding lead in the highest win department with £100,000 in his pocket. :smt023 (Or her? I'm not sure what American Coupon Boy's gender is. :ponder: ;) If you can't read the sarcasm, turn on your humor sensors.)

---

Player statistics for games up to Week 13

---

Guest bankers:
Week 14: hogwild94
Week 15: KP
Week 16: daniel123
Week 17: American Coupon Boy

---

hogwild94 is (as the title proclaims) the guest banker this week. Skyline, last week's guest banker, will be this week's box selector! In the meantime, box 19 was randomly selected to be the box brought to the table.

And away we go!

Round 1

Skyline's first five boxes are 20, 12, 9, 6, and 15. He also asked if I have guessed the system. By a cursory glance, I don't have a clue yet.

20 - £100,000 :(

In one box we have eliminated American Coupon Boy's winnings from last week. But maybe the £250,000 will be spared to the end and subsequently won by ACB who only has a negotiable £50,000 dealing point? ...is this a prediction I'm making? :ponder:

(Don't mind me, I'm just blabbing for TV. :) )

12 - 1p :-D

This demands a kiss! :smt058

9 - £1,000

6 - 10p :-D

Bottom two amounts taken out! Everyone's guaranteed 50p!

15 - £250,000

Oof. Well, that is so Deal for the bottom two and the top two to be taken out in the opening round. I suppose this means we must wait until at least Week 15 to see our first quarter-millionaire... (It also rules out my aforementioned prediction. )

OK, that's a first round to remember, that's for sure. Tough offer to make, but I'm going to try to be decent here. I've had an offer in mind that I hope I'll be able to make at some point, but I'll risk saving it for later. So for now, I'll be offering:

£6,125

DEAL or NO DEAL?

That must be the best opening round ever that included the Top 2. Since the highest opening offer with the Top 2 gone was £7,500, I'd offer £7,501 on this board.

And, of course, while I was busy writing that, hogwild94 posted the offer. :unsure

Anyway, still an excellent offer hogwild. :smt023 I'm half-tempted to negotiate now, but I really want to overtake Joel Davies this week, and the only way I can do that is if I win around £20,000 more than him, so I'll say NO DEAL for now.

Well, it's a fantastic offer in the circumstances. NO DEAL for now for me, however. :)

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

What an interesting looking board. :P

£6,125 is a great offer... but you know me. NO DEAL!

With that, I have finally updated the past few weeks with Deal-Eye analyses and updated leaderboards and statistics in the opening post of each thread. :D

I am currently not including the "Deal-eye Winnings Benchmark Leader-board" in the statistics because the title is misleading, in my opinion. Until American Coupon Boy explained it as "What Deal-Eye calculates the benchmark to be if each players' winning amounts were pretending to be the current board", I had the impression it had something to do with the player's deal relative to the benchmark figure at the time. I do agree there needs to be some statistic that better rewards consistency over random big wins, however.

I'd just do "FD of wins," which also removes the anomaly for certain numbers of values in DE (eg 3).

No Deal here on this interesting board.

Actually, I've also kept track of that as well. Perhaps I should start using that instead, especially as it causes similar placement as Deal-eye.

Ooh dear! Not good to have a £35k-high board at 14-box. Amazing that only one non-Power 5 sum has gone so far.

Not a good board, but I'm not going to chance it with big money still there to be won:

£3,062.50

DEAL or NO DEAL?

(Things will be edited in later. Sorry, this is my long day and I have less time than I expected to have.)

Same. I have a Monday which is like having a 9-5 job. Except my commute to and from that 'job' is an hour and a half there, and an hour and a half back. Still, it's my only day like this. No, wait. 10:30 till 5 on Tuesdays. Well, two days like this then.... :smt023

NO DEAL, thank you for now. :)

Another quickie round... after all the banter of last week, a sped up game is perhaps welcome?

21 - £250

Good start.

10 - £20,000 :(

Terrible to see that on a £35,000 board.

16 - £3,000 :|

I don't think that's a good one to find.

Ooh dear. Losing £20k isn't good here. Could this be the first unavoidable trainwreck of this series (or will saying that jinx it and turn things around?! )

I stick at:

£3,062.50

DEAL or NO DEAL?

I have finally inserted the board graphics and the proofs for this round and the last one, as well as including the "In live play" info (not that that matters) plus some smilies/discussion of certain boxes.

Tomorrow will be another long day, but I will have a break for once during the time the round will be posted. Thursday and Friday will be significantly lighter.
