Here's the second of the three shows I promised you all.

Wakey, SrWilson, and daniel123 will each play one game of Deal or No Deal. All three games were set up using my board game; my brother sealing up the boxes, and handing them all back on the board - he is the only person who knows what is where.

I decided to adopt the role of the Banker; my aim being to take the players just as seriously as any other contestant, but at the same time trying to make them break - which you will see in each of the games.

SrWilson chose box 22.

Round 1:

5 - £1 - "YESS GET INN!"

20 - £250 - "YESSS!"

21 - 10p - "ooo!"

He then warned me not to jinx it!!!

1 - £100,000 - "f***."

9 - £50 - "yay!"

Banker's offer: £5,022

Stats (17 boxes left:)
Offer: £5,022
Average: £27,374.44

1p

50p

£5
£10

£100

£500
£750
£1,000
£3,000
£5,000
£10,000
£15,000
£20,000
£35,000
£50,000
£75,000

£250,000

SrWilson calls the offer steep, but says No Deal.

Round 2:

17 - 50p - "getinn!"

6 - £15,000 - "that's alright, that's alright."

4 - £20,000 - "that's still alright!"

Bit of a comprehensive round there...

Banker's offer: £12,000

Stats (14 boxes left:)
Offer: £12,000
Average: £30,740.36

1p

£5
£10

£100

£500

£3,000
£5,000
£10,000

£35,000
£50,000
£75,000

£250,000

SrWilson says he reckons he's got the Banker's respect...and decides to No Deal.

Round 3:

13 - £100 - "yesss!"

11 - £750 - "yesssssssssss!" ( :? excited, perhaps?)

2 - 1p - "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS F*** YEAH"

Amazing all-blue round!

Banker's offer: £27,500

Stats (11 boxes left:)
Offer: £27,500
Average: £39,046.82

£5
£10

£500

£1,000
£3,000
£5,000
£10,000

£35,000
£50,000
£75,000

£250,000

SrWilson says "it's a very good offer, but with 4 significantly higher amounds and a £10,000 fall back I have to say No Deal.

Round 4:

3 - £50,000

10 - £5,000 - "YES!" - well it is perfectly fine with the way the board is looking!!!

19 - £5 - "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!"

Although a Power Five amount was found, this is looking very strong!

Banker's offer: £32,000

Stats (8 boxes left:)
Offer: £32,000
Average: £46,813.75

£10

£500

£1,000
£3,000

£10,000

£35,000

£75,000

£250,000

I tell him the Banker is playing the game (and the offer) with his three boxes above theory. SrWilson says "yer I know and that's a fair offer but I stick to my convictions and I feel there's at least 1 more round, if not more - No Deal."

Round 5:

15 - £75,000 - Not the end of the world, I remind him, and he says it's fine with the £35,000 backup still.

8 - £500 - "YESS!!!" - Another game with a possible all-red Final Five!!!

16 - £10 - "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!"

An all-red Final Five; surely a play-to-the-end game.

Banker's offer: £55,000

Stats (5 boxes left:)
Offer: £55,000
Average: £59,800

£1,000
£3,000
£10,000
£35,000
£250,000

SrWilson says "I'm leaving with 4 figures min, so more than I came with," and said No Deal.

So we have our first 'Wakey-ist' playing at least to the final two!!!

Round 6:

18 - £35,000 - in terms of the offer he just declined, it is now all or nothing.

12 - £250,000 - "hilarious; it was in my gfs box - but doesn't matter since I never swap lol"

14 - £3,000

SrWilson says he would be more than happy with £10,000 and still happy with £1,000.

Banker's offer: £4,022.12

Stats (2 boxes left:)
Offer: £4,022.12
Average: £5,500

£1,000

£10,000

I tell SrWilson to have a good guess as to why there is 12p at the end of the offer! He says there's no point in dealing now, and says No Deal.

A swap wasn't offered because of his comments in the last round about never swapping.

And in his box, box 22, was...

£1,000!!! :(

Box 7 contained the £10,000.

SrWilson asked just for the record what would have happened had he kept his girlfriend's box to the end; I told him the offer would have stuck at £55,000 - simply because he stated that he only declined it in the first place because of the £35,000 backup.

So a huge OBW, in some respects an outright loss too. And it couldn't have happened to a better person if you ask me!!! ;)

SrWilson proved that gambling can sometimes be the wrong thing to do perfectly.

Yes.

Reminded me a little of Jon G's game to be honest, but with a larger contrast.

With no disrespect to Dan, we've now had two games with very strong boards by 8-box - it will probably look very dull if the same happens with his game too, so here's hoping his game is far more exciting! :D

John G's game, you mean?

Well well well, just goes to show that copying the Real no-Deals really doesn't do you any favours. And he seems to have adopted my "Never Swap" theory.
A few more points:
1. It's just OBW, and I'm not giving you OPL because that hasn't been seen in a post since February 2007.
2. The stats: In terms of detail, worst I've ever seen. In terms of down to basics, just giving you what you need to know, best I've ever seen.

Other than that, good game and I'd like to congratulate SrWilson on playing the game the way you're supposed to. Welldone on £1,000

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

In truth, I couldn't be arsed with volatility stuff, etc. so just added the average to compare ;)

I hate saying it's an outright loss too, but I had to say it to rub the salt in the wound :-D

And yes John G

I'll be back home anytime after 8.30 so just need to get your game done! :D

1k is good consolation, I never lost 55K since I never accepted it to lose it and I would have been far more gutted had I dealt and the 250K was in my box.

Sometimes risks pay off; sometimes they don't. If that were not true there'd be no game.

I'd definitely have taken the £55k if I'd got that far, which I may or may not have done; £32,000 would probably have been enough but I'm not at all sure. £27,500 would have got me thinking, but probably not walking - though I wouldn't blame anyone who took it.

I'd be a bit *beep* off If I turned down 55K and won a grand.

Why don't you both just go into the Chat room?

If you are going to do a set of three games for people in the middle of being a targetist and a gambler; I'd put my name down for it. (To have a go)

Good idea - I know it'd sound more like Forum DoND all over again but I'd love to have as many different people having a go at this, not just the Wakeyists!

After you've done Daniel's game, just send me a PM or something and we can arrange a time or something.

Righty ho then. I'm online and my internet's being quick today, but it'll have to be in PM not MSN. I don't like doing games on MSN. Or we could do it the old-fashioned way and just play the game live. Yes, I prefer that actually.
