The point is well-taken, even if written in text talk (:smt018) and mirrors something I wrote many months ago - ie anybody can sign up to a forum under any name they like and claim to be a former contestant. Usually though it is fairly easy to unmask these people.
Some claims are clearly indisputable - little pictures of the player taken with Noel after their game and used as an avatar are hard to argue with. Many clearly have some special knowledge of the show that wouldn't happen if they hadn't been on the show or worked behind-the-scenes in some capacity or other. I don't think anyone doubts that "Spartacus" is not a former contestant, even if we're not sure on their identity. Other claims must be taken on faith.
Most of those former players came on here while they were on the wings or played their game and have never been seen again since and have presumably gone back to leading a normal life again. Only a few old contestants still post regularly.
