I'd like to start a fan club for Joe the newbie on David's show.

He's clearly had a very distinguished life decorated with medals, and is 97 years old!

How many contestants that old have been on any game show in the UK?!

Had a few conversations with the old timer .
A great fellow. He was also interviewed on the BBC documentary "Once A Soldier" .
This 8 episodes documentary was all about the Chelsea Pensioners and it was aired only a few weeks ago.
Joe did mention to me in Bristol that it took 10 months of filming.
Yes I do believe he is the oldest participant in the UK to actively take part in an entertainment show.

He certainly is the oldest contestant on dond and looks well for a 97 year old, looks like he will make 100 so I'll join.

I'm definitely in - I thought I was approaching the time when the schedule might prove a bit too demanding as I cruise up to the same birthday as Noel until I realised that Joe has 37 years on me!!!

Joe really does not look his age at all! That's fantastic! And judging by those medals he's wearing, he's for sure an established war veteran of some sort, which is cool.

Joe is a fantastic man. I'll never forget when he said to me in the middle of filming, "I dont know how you do it", I just sat there thinking... Joe you are 97, I dont know how you do it!! An absolute legend. I'm gonna go and see him in a few days so ill pass on everyones love. Daimon xx
