November 2008 - That's when we'll see the next £250,000 winner ;)

Also they should put cameras in the DOND hotel a bit like Big Brother and make a reality show out of it, from what we've heard about what happens in the hotel it's bound to be interesting :D

Laura is currently travelling the world shes in Thailand at the moment I belive.

I'll guess the second 250K win will come in June 08 and will come from a realistic final offer with a huge gamble no one will see coming!

Knowing the Banker perhaps he's already got some secret cameras in there :)

That's one of the things I like about the show is that you all get to know each other and behind the scenes get up to all sorts and make friends from this expierence, and that comes across on the show itself. We only see 40 mins a day but you guys spend 24/7 together for 2 or 3 weeks.

That's why i'd like to go on this show, unlike other shows you get more than just money out of this show, you get an experience.

Though of course i'd like to win lots of money as well :D

The next £250,000 winner will be on Saturday, 5th April 2008. It will be a 'Doctor Who' special, featuring a delightful opening sequence of Noel, dressed in a hat and scarf, emerging from the TARDIS and saying "22 identical sealed boxes, one of which contains a quarter of a million pounds. And just one question - would you like a jelly baby? Deal or No Deal!"

All the contestants will be dressed as various heroes and villains (Alf looking particularly flash in his Slitheen costume!), and the player will be 26 year old McDonalds cleaner David, who of course is dressed as the Doctor. After a slow start taking out a couple of power 5 numbers, he gets into quite a nice run of blues, ending on a final five of three blues, £35k and £250k. Turning down an offer of £10,010, his final two is an incredible 1p and £250,000.

"Your offer, David..." says a worried looking Noel, "is...£26,000". Everyone groans. By this time more people had won £26,000 than the hairs on Noel's beard. "I'm not going to do the same, Noel" says David, "This game's all about timing...and I'm a timelord!" No Deal. Banker rings back and offers the swap, will he swap his box 4 for box 10? Yes! "Are you sure?" says Noel, now looking terrified. "Yes I am, Noel" says David. "10th Doctor, 10th box".

Everyone's cheering him on. "David, you've given us a game that's out of this world" chuckles Noel. "It's been a ride through time and space" he giggles, "And now we find out whether your box is bigger on the inside..."
"JUST OPEN THE SODDING BOX!!!" shouts David.
Noel opens it...it's £250,000! David goes crazy, grabs Noel's scarf and runs around the room twirling it round in delight!! He is our first male quarter millionaire!

"Wow, what can I say...Laura finally has company in the £250k mansion. Congratulations, David, you're not just a timelord, you're a Deal or No Deal lord! Cue the music!" The episode ends with all of the 22 dancing to 'Doctorin' the TARDIS' by The Timelords as the credits roll!

Or not.

This might sound very pessimistic but never unless they engineer it again.
:?

I just can't think of good circumstances except a real gambler and lowish offers - there's too many obstacles.

Cautious players don't have the courage to turn down moderately large offers and the gamblers usually get large offers at the final 2 to stop them from winning it plus lack of good fallbacks.

I'm not saying there are no players with the guts just that it's hard to get the circumstances right.

(although I hope Srwilson is right.)

Agree with Alexander. We will probably never see a legitimate £250,000 winner in the history of the show(and by legitimate I mean non tampered with in terms of offers)

They should get gamblers on the show, and by that I mean proper gamblers. Not ones that think they are just because of a horse bet or those who say they are to scare the banker, but they really aren't (Steven)

Instead of offering gamblers massive offers I don't see the harm in offering normal scale sums to gamblers to get them to actually take the gamble many players don't. By offering more then you're getting the same outcome as a normal player but a higher win :?

PROPER gamblers are so rare and if they do come on the show they deal massive offers

Khanny and 64k Jeff are the gamblers I mean. Jeff was a gambler. Any normal player would have dealt the 36k before or even before that!

Khanny was just the best player ever

Laura was interviewed live on the BBC Radio Devon breakfast show two(?) weeks ago on Saturday, the presenter, Howard James, is a big DOND fan who has been to watch several recordings. Laura is back from her travels, and says she still has over half the money.

There seems to have been a lack of players with the courage to 'No Deal' all the way with £250K still in play recently (for example Johnny today, dealt with 5 in play), so it could be a while until it goes again.

My prediction;

17th June 2008, another female player.

How would you like to see it be won?

Obviously no derisory offer ALA laura No need to set it up.

Just get the right person with the right board id like em to take a big gamble from a mid red to win the 250K or possibly even something from a blue v 250K finish gambling over 70K as Jonny CLAIMS  he would have done today.

Take some balls to do that I tell you, I think I would have if the offer was from 80K down, had I played and got that scenario but I would have definatly had a long long agonising think first though.

I think if offer is over 80K though on a blue 250K finish its almost madness to decline it.

If you have a power 5 and 250K its a no brainer to no deal I think but thats not winning it in style its doing it the easy way really because you cannot really lose out 35K minimum 50K min whatever it is.

But please no more low Laura final offers please it ruins it and makes it so obvious to the audience what the producers are upto.

Well a year ago they should have given Claudine a sensible offer instead of a high one to try and get a real QM winner.

e.g. 80-90K on 10K vs 250K instead of 107K.

Morris's gamble paying off would also have been excellent.

generally I think an approx no deal of 100-105Kish on 15/20K vs 250K is the best route.

Agreed with all of that!

But hey Imagine if Morris had won it as soon as that lol would the show still be going?

I'd have liked to see either Khanny keep the £250,000 in 8 (he said he was always going to swap for it), Lynne have the £250,000 in her box, or Rodney gamble and swap as the first quarter-millionaire.

Although you do have to admit, it still takes guts to risk £42,000 on a 50-50 shot, even if it is a derisory offer!
