The person whose show it was today has had a tragic bereavement within her family, and it was felt by endemol that it would be unfair to broadcast this show, as the funeral would be either 2day or monday.

I hope this helps, just didnt want ne1 to think it was because the person involved had won the jackpot.

Thanks Ned, I only switched it on late so was very surprised to see Kirsty's game, but it's a game well worth seeing again! :D

Thanks for sharing that Ned.

I was informed of the situation just before the show started, but was hoping the C4 would explain the reason for not broadcasting the show.

I am sure everyones thoughts here are with the contestatnts family concerned.

Ah. An answer. Thanks Ned!

And I thought Endomol didn't have a heart! :-D

That's going to play havoc with the airing dates though, as they can't really skip over the episode completely and air the next ones filmed, and if they can't air it today, then they certainly won't air it on Sunday or Monday either if Ned's version of events is true, so what does that mean, repeats of old episodes for the next week or so ??? :?

Condolences are due to whoever should have played today then I guess.

Unusual to say the least.

Read Ned's post again, wakey. No contestant has died.

I think it was only right of Endemol to postpone the show, then.

No never_wrong, I meant that they might have not been ill, but gone off the show FOR the death of their family member.

Again, re-read Ned's post. Unless Mike and Jim have had a recent sex change, I doubt it's one of them ;)

I'll imagine that they'll never show it. Either that, or show it after a Sunday episode, when the schedules are more flexible.

Why not? I assumed that's exactly what they were going to do...they'll just cut out Noel's references to today's game at the start of Sunday's, and carry on as normal from there.

Like everyone else, my thoughts are with the contestant involved - it was definitely right not to show the game today.

Wakey, you have to remember that these shows were recorded in mid-October. It's highly likely that the bereavement happened recently, hence the cancelling of today's show.

All my thoughts go out to...well whoever's missing on Sunday's game. :(

The way I read it, is a show was recorded to be broadcast today as normal, and whoever that contestant was has had a bereavement since the day the show was filmed (the family member might even have been in the audience), so they're quite sensibly not showing it.

I think they'll pick it up again as normal from Sunday, but they'll edit it so the game that was supposed to be shown today isn't referred to (such as in Noel's intro).

I wonder what they'll do on More4 at 6.10, I sincerely hope they show Kirsty's game again, I'm missing it as I'm still at work!
