You quick off the mark!!

Suezan, is it worth buying? What can you do with it exactly? Does it have footage of any ex-contestants or is it just a virtual game?

Also, just noticed quickly that your niece (?) is a contestant. Has she played her game or going up to Bristol shortly. I wish her lots and lots of luck and hope she beats the banker if not yet played!!!!

I just got mine! WHSmith didn't have it, but HMV did...also got the book from WHSmith at the same time, wasn't in stock when I last checked.

Gonna check the DVD out now, it sounds so cool! Oh, and it isn't a PG after all, it's an 'E', meaning it's exempt from classification as it's a game, not a TV show. Still would love to know why they thought it was a PG, though.

Just got mine. :-D WHSmith didn't have it. Woolworths hadn't taken delivery at all despite having the blank cases out, but thank god for HMV. :D

Guess what I'll be doing all evening! ;)

Well, here's a recap of Billy's game!

Started pretty well, leaving the power 5 intact, and my first offer was £11,000. Ooh, pretty high...Nick seemed pretty unsure and told me to do what I thought was right, so I No Dealt.

The next few rounds weren't that good...practically one big number went every game, and it was fast becoming a trainwreck. However, I recovered enough to get to the famous four blues v £35k decision, and an offer of £2,000. Scary board, though...dare I risk it? Raj said go for it. Russell said to imagine that money in my bank account, and Noel said some things too. Even though I could still win 1p, I risked it, and No Dealt...

...and what a round! I did a Lynn, and got to a final two of £50 and £35k - I decided early on that I'd keep box 18 to the end, as that's my age and it may be lucky. The £11k opening offer had been the highest all game, so I figured that if I got an offer higher than that, I'd deal immediately.

But it was a risible £9,000. Pathetic! Lynn got £14k and had an even lower blue of £10. Now Nick thought I should go for it too, and with that offer, I had no choice...No Deal.

Even though I got offered a swap, I turned it down, even though I had my lucky number as the other box...as I'd feel terrible if I swapped away a £35k box. Noel pulled off the seal, opened the box, and inside was...

...£50. Well, darn. But £50's still a pretty good sum of money, and a fun game nonetheless.

But seriously, as this was my first DVD game, it totally rocked. It was SO cool to see all those great contestants wishing me luck (really wouldn't have worked if they just chose 21 actors), especially in the introduction when you saw a full shot of them all in the wings...I mean, Morris, next to Lucy! Who couldn't love this line-up? I wish Dutchess Helen would have done one of her classic 'really slow box opens', though...but hey, still very fun, and I'll definitely be playing it a lot. Great job, Endemol, and to all who were involved!

Dan'll go mad if the players aren't in their same positions as they were on the show! (Which they're not, apparently.)

Okay, here is Mental Mickey's first game...

I've got box number five. I don't know if that is random or not, but it doesn't matter much as when I open box 7 to reveal £15000 closely followed by box 21 revealing £50000, my game seems to be going completely pear-shaped. Thankfully, my DVD player agrees and the disc freezes unexpectedly and nothing I can do can get it restarted again. In the end, I abandon the game, re-insert the disc and try again.

Mental Mickey's first game (take two)...

I've still got box number five. I decide to choose the same two opening boxes again, numbers 7 and 21, but this time reveal £250 and £35000. In keeping with the seven theme, I next choose box 14 and reveal £750, followed by box 2 which Sarah opens for me revealing the £15000. Box 19 is opened next to reveal just £1, so I have a reasonable opening round - three blues and two reds.

Noel speaks to the banker, but the audio doesn't seem to be working, but I do get an offer of £13000. I already know what I am going to do, but can't resist asking for advice and am treated to a wonderfully gorgeous Lucy telling me to 'follow my heart, etc.'. :-D :-D :-D :smt055 Have finally decided that yes, this game is brilliant, and decide to no deal, at which point my next box, number 17 reveals just £100, though unfortunately Marcus opens box 22 next and reveals £50000. I'm soon back on track though as Morris opens box 15 for me and reveals a fiver. :-D

Lucy starts hugging Morris and I am just contamplating what my second offer will be when the DVD player freezes again and my game comes to a shuddering halt.       :bonk: :x

I'm now desperately in search of a DVD player that this will actually work properly on and actually allow me to complete a full game! :(

It looks brilliant though! I'll let you all know if I manage to get through an entire game without it crashing on me! :x
