Semi was the only one to take on the Banker's Gamble. And most would in that situation!

We need a Banker's Gamble on something interesting, like, I dunno, blue/£100k after a £20k-odd Deal on a more stable board at five- or eight-box...

I really enjoyed today's game. The Banker's gamble bit made me come on here to see what people thought. I love it personally.

I agree with KP though; we want the gamble on a different situation but I have an idea as to how they are doing things.

So far they have only used the gamble on boards where the amount of money dealt at would be a high offer for the final pair. I think that is so the idea is introduced to the show without it seeming unfair if someone wins using it. You'd think "wow, big gamble. Fair enough. Good for them".

Once it is established as part of the rules then they will start offering it on easier gambles I think.

While I hope to never ever have to type the phrase "I agree with SrWilson", this going on about how they're sure they have the big money and they're definitely going to the end is getting slightly tedious. I know they're just doing it to try and fool the Banker but I'm sure he's wise to it now...I'd rather they just said nothing...

Is it just me who was slightly confused by her answering the question about the Banker's Gamble? It's the first time I've seen the offer being made, so when she said "No Deal" I wasn't sure what that actually meant she was doing...

Cookie, you seem to have forgotten the 50:50 chance of winning a red as well?

Oh no, I know there was 50% chance of winning a blue and the other 50% was winning a red. It's just the risk of gambling a large amount of money that would mean a lot to me when there is a half chance that I could win something significantly less. I wouldn't really mind if I squandered £35,000 because I've still got the deal, but if I went to the end and won a blue, I'd probably regret the fact that I could've had so much more if I was a bit more sensible.

I didn't know who Michelle was and I didn't really get into the show until the last part, as I wasn't entertained by the hotel trashing / spot / beard stuff. It was interesting at the end with the undeal offer though. So a good show - but mainly because of the undeal offer and the newbie Tom - who I like. :P

That was basically a parody of George's game again IIRC, he was offered 15k on the same board (though I think he had another blue instead of 3k), and was offered undeal on 35k v blue. The only difference really was the box contents!

I hate to say it, but I'm starting to want people to do different things to the norm as well. While I thought the offer she dealt was pretty decent for the board left, and it had a decent chance of paying off, I was wanting her to ND it to see something different. I think missing out on 35k after taking 15.5k isn't as bad as turning it down and winning a blue though, so it was understandable.

Nearly everyone would have dealt the 2-box offer if it had been a stick however, so I don't think it's worth getting upset about actually. I think that's what I would have done!

I quite enjoyed today's game actually, despite not really noticing Michelle much while she was on the wings. The spot thing did go on a bit much, heck I didn't even see it till the Banker pointed it out, but I still found the banter about it good. I also enjoyed the bit, I don't know why really, where Noel & Michelle went out into the car park, perhaps it was just nice to see a change of scene other than the studio.

As for the 'Banker's Gamble', I actually thought it was a good move and at least added an interesting dilemma at the end of an otherwise finished game and I think I would of actually accepted it myself and risked it on a 50/50 chance of winning £35,000 and if not, at least there would of been a nice consolation prize of £750.

Also, does anyone keep noticing the guy in the audience with a shaved head and two piercings, one in his right eyebrow and the other just below his bottom lip? I've seen him quite a few times now.

That was a clever move at the end by the banker to offer that deal. But that 15k was now HER money...Who would risk 15k of thier own money. Not me

Aitch,

Yeah that's the guy!

I didn't realise it was Troy's partner. I just thought it was some pilgrim who turned up a lot.

Hi All

Thanks to everyone that did enjoy my game!!! I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it!!!

Of course there is the part of me that wishes I'd had the "perfect" game and gone to the end but I couldn't gamble £15,500 on a 50/50 chance.... I dunno, the sensible mummy in me came out at the end, what can I say!!!

I wish he'd shut up about my spot too!!!

xxxxxx

Nice to the see the "gamble" featured as well.

A good start to the week. That 5 box offer was perfectly pitched I think. I wonder what the 2 box offer would have been if it was a regular offer. Certainly nowhere near £15.5k.

i agree a rather average game firstly just say nothing rather than bluffing and that's a bit of a silly undeal - I don't expect people to gamble that much on blue vs 35K,

12/13K perhaps.
