21st July? They're either having a very short / late summer break then...

Yeah, I thought that. I kinda figured that I'd be going to see either late July or post summer break shows. The 21st is a Monday though, so I assume it's probably their last week of shows, especially as it's a 'summer special'.

edit: I also have to say that it doesn't quite add up with the table of filming dates right now. But this is just what I was told over the phone

Might turn out to be the same break that schools get at the summer - last week of July until first week in September. Although that wouldn't be much longer than usual, so I'm not sure what's happening with DOND's replacements of Priceless and Amnesia. Just have to wait and see, I guess.

Be a bit embarassing if they had filmed on regardless only to find that Channel 4 decide to put these shows on earlier in the summer! Then you might find the "summer special" is at the end of summer!

I'm just hoping the break is longer so the recording/ transmission gap doesn't get any longer! To think, when the show started there was only about a fortnight's difference, now it's about 3 and a half months!

It's so weird, that. I mean, the fact that so many people will have come and gone since the shows filmed for March 29th...

It's just so weird to think that whilst we're grappling with a world of Big Rons, Eunices, Olgas and Mattys, there's been a good few dozen players since then filmed!

I can confirm the shows being recorded yesterday were Saturday 12th July, Monday 14th July and Tuesday 15th July. With one of the first two shows being the 800th show.

As I said, I was told 7th April = 21st July, which doesn't quite make sense, as that should be recorded tomorrow. I'm trying to ring the DOND crew to find out, but haven't had much luck

Is there even going to be a summer break this year? I thought i was finally going to get a holiday away without missing an episode of Deal or No Deal but i guess i am now! Im guessing nobody knows when the break is going to be!

They should tell you the exact date on the recording. As they did today.



Maybe there isn't going to be one, if the show will grab more ratings than Win My Wage in 2007. They might do a Countdown and run through the summer. Saying that, they could declare the last show on Saturday 26th July.

On the 7th April, shows for Wed 23, Thur 24 and Fri 25 of July were filmed. These were the last three before a summer break. There is no Saturday show that week.

Then the show returns on the 25 of August...woop!

It was nice last year having a show on your birthday i had Karen on my birthday! That was a cool game to have on a birthday!

Four weeks, same time period as last year but shifted later in the year. I suppose if Channel 4 are happy with the show providing the good ratings for July, so be it. I suspect they'll fill the four weeks with Priceless.

The summer break this year makes much more sense. Coming back in mid-August like it did in 2007 was stupid, as lots of people were still away on holiday. Thanks for supplying the dates jonny.

That's quite alright! Although I must say, Noel told us accompanied with the news that it was a five-week break, although anyone who can do the maths can see that it's a four-week break

Then we should have another week's worth, which would take us up to... er... 11th October. It'll only be FIVE MONTHS in advance then, if that's the case, which will only get even longer running up to the show's recording break in June!

EDIT: If they finished filming at the end of May, they'd be up to Mid-Nov, unless Noel meant they were filming in June, in which case it would be December. Either way, at least the Christmas shows will be filmed in October rather than June!
