:welcome: James

Great to have another contestant on board, glad you like the site.

Don't really know what to say about the £10 win except ouch. :(

Expect you had a great experience on the show though....

What an awesome experience! Don't regret it for one minute. It actually didn't bother me winning only a £10. You only get one chance at life and i thought F*~k it! Made some good friends, had some fun and got loads of memories. The production team were class and I'm glad i was a part of it. We've already had an original 22 re-union in London, and there's a couple more organsied this year. Look out more drunken parties..........

Sounds great. Shame you didn't win more out of it, but it sounds like you made a load of friends which is always nice.

Welcome James.
Shame about you only winning £10, but nice that you had a good time.

Welcome. I actually remember commentating on your show on Bother's Bar... laced with irony at times that day because of your decision to give up your job to play, as I think you've seen.

For what it's worth, I'd have dealt at £17,600, but there was a 40% chance of keeping £75,000 and increasing that offer significantly and only a 30% chance of losing the two big numbers (and only a 10% chance of losing all three reds, as you managed). Jim had a very similar position on Friday, dealt, and would have doubled his money had he continued...

...it's all a game of luck, after all. And your luck turned on you viciously when it mattered most.

And our valuation of different sums of money varies dramatically - there's a whole branch of economics, utility theory, that deals with precisely that. That's the one thing that really makes this game work. Clearly your own valuation of money was such that the risk was worth taking, and just because I think otherwise doesn't make the decision unjustified.

I know it is more then 5 months later, but i've seen the repeat on More4, it is very tragic.

Unlucky, James. I hope you still post here.
