HEAT 3
FEBRUARY 2009

Who gets your vote for heat 3?

5 days to vote.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

965 - Julie 19/02 - £42,000
Julie dealt at 5-box for £42,000. However, despite hitting £75,000 & £50,000 in the final round the £250,000 still remained and she would have been offered £72,000, but Julie’s box didn’t contain the £250,000, instead it had just £1,000.

966 - Daniel 20/02 - £16,500
“Spreadsheet Boy” Daniel took to the ‘crazy chair’ today in what promised to be one of the Banker’s toughest opponents. Daniel dealt at the 3rd offer for £16,500, but whilst the Banker may have thought he would go on to win the game after Daniel’s 3rd offer deal, it turned out that Daniel won the battle as he did the right deal at the right time and scored an OPW. With there only be £50 in Daniel’s box.

967 - Tom 22/02 - £8,000
In what was never a mega money game Tom dealt at 5-box for £8,000 and got an OPW. Tom only had a £1 in his box.

968 - Andreas 23/02 - £15,000
Having previously turned down £17,500 at 8-box Andreas decided it was time to deal at 5-box for £15,000. Which was a wise deal as he then went on to find £100,000 & £50,000 in the next round. Only having £750 in his box.

969 - Kath 24/02 - £18,000
After a mid-game wobble and feelings that it wasn’t her lucky day, Kath, decided to deal £18,000 at 8-box. After an all blue round, and with £35,000, £100,000 & £250,000 left in play at 5-box the Banker would have made an offer of £56,000. Despite finding the £35,000 & £100,000 in the final round the £250,000 still remained, along with £100, and the Banker would have made an offer of £81,000. Kath’s box actually contained the £250,000.

970 - Aby 25/02 - £14,000
In what was a very lively & loud game, Aby went on to deal for £14,000, after previously turning down £19,555 & £18,5000 before hand. It was a wise deal though as Aby’s final offer would have been just £5 with a £1 & £10 final two. With the £10 being in Aby’s box.

971 - Russ 26/02 - £10,000
Russ’ “Tiddly Winky” helped him increase his 5-box offer from £7,500 up to £10,000, which Russ dealt. However, Russ then went on to find all the low amounts in the last round and would have been offered £22,000 with £5,000 & £75,000 left. Russ only had £5,000 in his box.

972 - Doreen 27/02 - £50,000
By 8-box Doreen had managed to wipe out all the reds, except £250,000, and was offered £20,000. However, Doreen was determined to go on, so she no dealt £20,000. Doreen’s luck was in though as she managed to keep the £250,000 in play till 5-box, along with 4 blues, and was offered a massive £50,000, which Doreen dealt. In last box of the prove-out round Doreen found the £250,000 and was left with just £1 & 50p. With £1 being in Doreen’s box.

Again, a difficult set of games to choose from. But it has to be Daniel's for me! With Doreen coming a very close second!

Daniel because he proved that 3rd offer deals can work and therefore disproving the wakeys' and hindsighters' theories that 3rd offer rounds are always terrible.

Quite.

I don't even need to say who I voted for. Suffice to say I think it's one of the best games of all time.

Luckily, this isn't a poll for the "No Deal or No Deal" game of the month so my choice is about as easy as it's ever been.

I think Doreen will win this one by a mile, so I'll vote for Daniel for a spectacular 3rd offer OPW.

This isn't a Show Of The Month poll, this is a What's Your DoND Philosophy poll.

Let's at least give some credit to the old lady, she did Deal eventually.

Given that I voted for Del in Heat 2, I don't think that holds true somehow. :D

It will be fascinating to see who wins between Dan and Doreen, both classic games, Dan gets my vote becuase I thought the banker vs banker concept was fascinating, and the result amazing.

If there was a vote for worst show of the month I would go for Kath, uncomfortable to watch.

i voted for doreen! but doreen had an ABSOLUTELY amazing game - plus being my fave contestant EVER! daniels game 2nd.
worst game would be either andreas or Tom. couldn't really connect with the emotional side of things in those games.
Russ and Julie's games - meh
aby's was really good and kath's was something else (even though a bit difficult to watch in some parts).
so yeah doreen for me by a mile!

I really don't want to choose between Dan and Doreen yet, so I'll give Aby a vote to help her into the final.

Well I was planning to vote for Daniel in this heat, but that was before Doreen's game, and so i've decided to vote for Doreen (sorry Dan :) ) .

The game that developed in Doreen's one of the most tense in a long while. Plus it was a massive win over the Banker.

Dan's game a very close second though. Another game I highly enjoyed.
