HEAT 1
FEBRUARY 2009

It's that time of the month again to vote for your favourite shows over the past month.

You have 5 days to vote, and the 3 shows who receive the highest votes in this heat will make it into the final where the overall winner will be decided.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

949 - Andy 01/02 - £6,000
Andy was first to play this month and dealt his largest offer in the game at 5-box, which was £6,000. Andy's box contained £15,000.

950 - Anna 02/02 - £13,500
At 8-box Anna dealt for £13,500. With the £100,000 & the back-up of three other reds still remaining at 5-box though the Banker would have offered Anna £17,500, but the next round destroyed the game completely. Anna's box contained just £50.

951 - Sally 03/02 - £5,000
Sally's deal for £10,000 at 5-box wasn't the end of her game, because at 2-box with both £5,000 & £15,000 remaining the Banker offered Sally the Banker’s Gamble. After turning the gamble down Sally explained that she actually would have liked the remaining box on the wings, box 7, which is why she declined it. However, The Banker picked up on this and offered Sally the swap and the Banker's Gamble...yet again. Sally this time took the gamble, and after swapping her box, ended up winning just £5,000 instead.

952 - Alfie 04/02 - £15,000
After an all red opening round Alfie went on to have two all blue rounds and decided to deal at £15,000 at 8-box. However, with the £250,000 still in play at 5-box the Banker would have offered £26,000. Luckily Alfie destroyed the game in the final round and had just £5 in his box.

953 - Barbara 05/02 - £19,000
Barbara no dealt all the way to 2-box and was left with £750 & £50,000 in play, but, after a bit of help from Daniel, the Banker decided to offer Barbara £19,000, which she dealt. £50,000 was in Barbara's box.

954 - Walter 06/02 - £1
Walter provided the laughs, but unfortunately the game just fell apart with a terrible run of bad luck throughout. Walter ended up winning just £1 from his box.

955 - Amrik 08/02 - £15,000
Amrik dealt for £15,000 at 8-box, but there was more money in the game to be had. The 5-box offer would have been £25,000. Amrik’s box contained £75,000.

956 - Alfonso 09/02 - £20,000
Alfonso kicked off the start of Love Week, and despite the added twist of the ‘love necklace’, Alfonso decided to deal before using it in live-play. It looked like the game was going in Alfonso’s favour after the deal, but at 2-box, the £250,000, along with £10, still remained. The Banker would have made an offer of £69,000, followed by a hypothetical swap from Alfonso, and in doing so actually brought the £250,000 box to the table. The orginal box pre-swap contained the £10.

Sally, Walter and Alfonso are the three leading contenders.

Seeing as many of us will be voting for Walter, I'll gift my vote to one of the others.

I think I'm going to vote for Sally!

Sally, because a game ending as bewildering as that deserves recognition in history.

For genuine gamelapy, I went for Barbara. Please she got a genunely great offer out of the banker at 2-box having taken reasonable but not insane gambles along the way. :)

My vote goes to Walter. The only blue win of the month, but despite that it was still a highly entertaining game (except the win) thanks to Walter.
