HEAT 2
JANUARY 2009

In this heat there are 9 games to choose from. The top 3 shows from this heat will go into the final where the overall winner will be decided.

5 days to vote.

931 - Sarah 11/01 - £1
A blue 2-box final for Sarah of £1/£750, of which Sarah went on to win the £1.

932 - Kerrie 12/01 - £35,000
Kerrie dealt £35,000 at 5-box, but had she gone on her next offer would have been a massive £105,000 due to the presence of the £250,000. However, Kerrie only had £15,000 in her box and not the £250k.

933 - Eddie 13/01 - £16,000
A deal for £16,000 was a good call for Eddie at 5-box, as he then went on to have an all red round and would have been left with just a £100/£250 final. With £100 being in Eddie’s box.

934 - Maureen 14/01 - £7,000
Maureen dealt £7,000 at 5-box, but had she played on she would have had a perfect round and would have left both £35,000/£50,000 in play. The latter of which was in Maureen’s box.

935 - Den 15/01 - £10,000
Den played till the end and won £10,000 from her box, and in turn got an OPW as Den got no offers in the 5-figure area during her game.

936 - Tony 16/01 - 50p
Tony said he was a gambler, and indeed he was, at one point turning down a £40,000 offer. However, the gambling didn’t pay off as Tony went home with just 50p after no dealing £16,000 in a hope to win £50,000.

937 - Cassi 18/01 - £50
An unlucky game for Cassi, by 5-box there was only one red remaining -£20,000 - and was offered £1,000, which she no dealt. Cassi went on to win £50

938 - Winston 19/01 - £16,500
Winston dealt at £16,500, but at 2-box with the £250,000 still remaining, along with £750, the Banker would have (supposedly) offered £100,000. Winston did a hypothetical swap and ended up bringing the £250k to table, after swapping away his original box which contained £750.

939 - Carl 20/01 - £21,500
An offer of £21,500 got Carl out the chair at 2-box with £500/£100,000 still remaining. Had Carl no dealt though he would have won £100,000.

Eddie - a fun show with a lot of banter and an overall good game. Tony's game was exciting towards the end but it had a painful finish.

I voted for Tony as it was an exciting game, just a shame about the result. Eddie was my second choice.

Voted for Tony as a great show to illustrate how not to play the game.

I'm going for Kerrie as it saved her from losing her home. :)

I chose Den's game because I didn't see Tony's and I can't remember anything about the others.

I'm going for Tony as that game had the most interesting decisions.

Tony for me - it was one of those games where we all prayed his No Dealing would finally see us have a belter of a climax...yet we could all tell he'd end up crashing for being "greedy"

Kerrie for me. Think it was the fact she needed the money so badly to keep her home.

For reminding the Wakeyists that this game is about real people and real life-changing sums of money, Kerrie wins this one.

Eddie's a close second, and Tony's up there too because there was certainly drama and none of his late-game gambles, especially his last, were 'inked in' way in advance as Ann's were.
