I was expecting the £18,000 offer to be £22,000 - i.e. double £11,000 - as £22,000 would be close to the mean - so £18,000 isn't an inflated proveout offer really!

Having said that, the next one will be over the mean, probably... oh no, not bad! £18,000 on that board is quite believable! I wonder what the banker's up to? :suspect:

I was going to add "She could still get a TPW" out of this... but no. :?

And whaddya know, all-or-peanuts it is.

Exact lower bound deserves mentioning - £13,337. Upper bound is a shade over £22,300. £18,000 is exactly the right offer in my opinion, and again I'd have taken it.

Hmmmm maybe the Banker didnt offer over inflated offers because he knew the £50k was in her box and he had already won :suspect:

YES! ANOTHER POWER 5 VALUE IN BOX 4! GET IN!

(And that bloomin mother had to butt in, didn't she... )

Have fun with £11,000, but play your own game for goodness sake and don't let the family members butt in!

I think the low offers may have been to make the option of going to five-box or two-box less valuable-looking so people deal at or before eight-box...

Well only a crazy gambler would have got more than 18 grand there, so not too bad!! Still the mother should have shut up there, I think she was burning holes in Leila's back, I think she actually wanted to go on.....I'd never have a family member there!!

I wonder if the valid proveout offers were becuase the banker fancied her? ;-)

That's probably why they don't often have youngsters on the show...

Normally with a game like that, Noel would be rubbing it in that she dealt too soon and squandered a huge sum of money. But we got lots of smiles, a 'thank you' to the mum for "keeping her feet on the ground" and a very positive spin on the result. How bizarre. I think I probably would have dealt one round later at £18,000.

Aww that's a shame :(

But still I think having £11,000 will mean she's not skint anymore!! :D

Also add in the fact that Noel didn't rub it in too much when it became clear she'd dealt too soon, so the banker didn't have an added excuse to make inflated proveout offers!

I mean, with Anne-Marie, he virtually trashed the studio when she could've had £12,000 more when she dealt too soon, yet when Leila dealt too soon and could've had £39,000 more, he wasn't too bad with her! :? Still, I'd like to believe that rather it being a case of Noel fancying Leila, it's more a case of Noel realising that dealing too soon isn't going to end the world!

Wow...Leila = Best player since Jaye. The actual game was fairly mediocre, but she was awesome. (And even if she'd gone to the end and won the £50k, a certain someone here would have been insufferable, so it's quite good that she didn't really...)

Move aside Pat G, there's no room for you in my best wing line-up anymore...

This was the first show after a two week filming break according to H's filming dates thread, so I wonder if people started complaining about inflated offers around the time this was filmed? :-)

I'd love to have seen the outtakes from it as Billy reminded me last night Leila and her cider were still being discussed when we went up for the June filmings

Actually, now you come to mention it - yesterday's game was filmed two weeks before today's - Alain's being the last of the three recorded on Friday 9th February, and Leila's being the first of the three recorded on Monday 26th February... and during that time, there were several games shown where Noel went far too OTT with his post-deal nonsense, so maybe Endemol did read the forums and told Noel to calm it down a bit! :P

Tomorrow's game will probably have someone deal early and Noel will smash up the studio or something, now... :?

I'd have won £18,000 BTW - but not sure whether I'd have took the first one or the second! (That's saying if I hadn't taken the first I'd definitely had taken the second!) :)

I'm trying to think who dealt too early in the games between 9th and 26th Feb - Georgina (well debatable due to the final proveout offer), Pirate Mary (again not too bad as she sold the 1p).

But then 5 in a row - Bob (he dealt too late as well), Paul H, Bindya, Jack and Amy-Lee!! 5 games in a row, and I think there was only Paul H that Noel didn't rub it in too much for, as he only missed out on a small percentage of his highest offer! :)

Yes you could be on to something there!!
