jmas, she had a 60% chance of taking out £50,000. The last all-red final 5 was Claudine's.

That doesn't matter, she was guaranteed £1,000 with any £50,000 final being one producing an offer above £10,000!

Worst week ever.

1,000 isn't that big you know, and how is it the worst week ever because contestants didn't gamble to the end but went when the time was right for them.

The 50k wasn't in her final two, so she did well! 10k was enough for her so well done Kath!

On a side note, I think the Catherine Tate special may have been filmed after this. Kath should be replaced by someone who looks quite tall and then I think we have the full complement of players from Nan's game, Fat Stella et al aside.

I wasn't too bothered about contestants playing to the end. All of them either dealt pathetically early or dealt at a bad time.

I can understand Rita's deal and Jackie's deal, even though Rita's was one of those early ones.

When I can only understand two people's deals, it is a bad week, I tell you.

Bah, I've just realised...had Kath won £22.01 more, this week would have had the highest lowest win ever. Paula H's record still stands...still a pretty good set of wins though. In fact, I might even go so far as to call it the best week ever...

I could be wrong but I reckon the average win this win was about £25,000. If that's a bad week you need to readjust your radar.

Sorry, that does look a little confusing...i.e. the lowest win in the week is higher than all the other lowest wins of all the other weeks. This week nobody won less than £10,000...in Paula H's week, nobody won less than £10,022. Funnily enough, the record for the lowest highest win in a week is also just over £10k - Sandra (2)'s £10,004.

I actually would have taken the £8,888 there too, and for a bit I thought it was going to complete irony that having had 3 3-rd round deals that went wrong in the week, this was actually going to be the right time to have done it! :)

I really don't understand all the opposition to her deal. It seems as though 10 grand was life-changing to her, and she had a 40% chance of keeping the £50k in, 60% chance of taking it out. With that being the only box higher than the offer, she was less likely to get more money by going on, and even if she'd had the 10k in her box, why bother going to the end when youve been offered it? Unless you're Margaret that is! ;-)

Well done Kath!

He means this week the lowest win was 10,000 but in all the other weeks bar 1 the lowest win of the week has been less then 10,000

Took to long thinking about how to explain it.

Personally, I was surprised but didn't criticise it. I was more surprised in light of the £8,888 though.

I reckon that if the £50k went she'd have gone to the end but if it stayed it would have been a £20k offer, a Deal if the red wasn't £10k and a No Deal if it was...

Which makes it a 5% chance of £50k, a 35% chance of £20k, a 20% chance of £10k and a 15% chance of each of the other reds. Expected value £12,850 - I think that's enough of a gap for me to have gone on. Then again, at £8,888 that wasn't so!

A bad week for you perhaps, but others can see the reason why contestants would deal at certain times and hence not a bad week for all.

No! I am expressing my opinion, do you realise that a forum is for discussing the game?

The thing is, your opinion is so predictable that there's not really any point in your bothering to post it. You just say the same thing after every show, which leads to the same responses from other people, and the same old tedious argument. That's not what a forum's for. If you really want people to hear your opinion (note the lack of a plural) then just write a book.
