Yeah, I thought my ears were acting up for a while. The lighting's completely different too.

Great start, she's still got everything £10,000 downwards! It'll probably collapse as soon as we return, though, there's no WAY that'll last long...

Shame, I think I'd prefer the £50,000 box over £57,000 deal.

Then again, I'd definitely have dealt at £84,000 so nyeh.

Great to see that game again. :D

And I even spotted Marcus and Beryl in the audience!

That board deserves a high res picture:

I remember at the time thinking that it was the most excited I'd ever been over a gameshow for seven years! Really great to see again, along with all those February/early March players (I'd forgotten how pretty Helen was), at the time she was the second biggest winner in the show's history - now she's the 14th!

Billy? MARCUS!?! Where, where, where?! Picture picture picture! Now now now! I WANT THE GOD DAMN PICTURE BILLY!!! *ahem* sorry.

Anyways, that was a trip down memory lane! I'm glad they showed Brenda's game again as I missed it the first time around and what with seeing all those contestants again - Russell, Anna, Mike, Sam, Peter, Tracey, you can see where I'm going with this... it's made me realise how good a month February actually was! In actual fact, I think February was just as good a March, and that's saying something!

Even though I knew the outcome of this game it was still very tense to watch. No way would the Banker have offered £84,000 though, albeit, it was a still good board, there was only one sum higher than that offer!

Haha, I loved Brenda at the end as well "Have you done a super deal or a squidgy, nice little deal and did you have £50,000 in your box all along?"

*Reveals £50,000*

"....Oh sugarations!"

A very very very very very very very very belated welldone Brenda!

Ok, sorry it's a sucky picture, but I just went through most of the episode in fast motion and this was the best closeup I could find (and you're right, Aaron, I think that's Candice too). He's just on the right of Noel:
Image
I promise you, it is him!

This was the 22:
Russell
Anna
£1 Mike
Female Sam
Peter
Tracey
Daz
Germaine
Paula R (just 'Paula' then, though)
Norma
Fin

Lucy (only her 8th show...42 to go!)
Bearded Gary
Paul
(Brenda - Beryl would replace her)
Valentines Helen
Okiem
Benita
John G
Lisa (the new player)
Bearded Chris
Donna

I bet if this game was today, they'd be Blue chanting even with just £750 left...oh yeah, this was also the game where Peggy Mitchell from Bolton won the LTL!

Oh how I wish we had series 1 Noel presenting now. Today he would have gone on about how Brenda had blown £27K.

Notice how after she dealt, he said that now we'd see if she'd done the clever thing. Today it would be "have you dealt too early?"

Thanks for the picture Billy, I'm going to have to go back to my recording and look out for him. ;)

Both of those things are biased to one side, so picking out "Have you dealt too early" and comparing it to "Have you done the clever thing" means you're biased to dealing if you're suggesting the former is the better thing to be said. I think they are both as impartial. I would just shut up If I was the presenter, explaining the possibilities for when the show might have been on a break for a while.

That was the first show I watched all the way through. Brenda was awsome and one of my top 3 players of all time! If she played today, she'd have been offered a lot more than £57,000 at that stage. I still felt that Noel was trying to make her feel bad that she'd dealt relatively early. I have a few questions:

1. When did they change from the white boxes to the coloured ones?
2. There was a lady called Lisa in E9. I remember her from the wings, but never saw her game. How much did she win?

The labels changed from black and white to coloured in Gary's game on the 27th February 2006.

Lisa won £20,000. Unfortunately she dealt too soon and could have won £44,000. :(
