That was the VERY best game I've ever seen. It was fantastic from start to finish and it was amazing to see all the blues vanishing in the first two rounds!

Brilliantly played, Aaron. CONGRATULATIONS and enjoy your very well deserved winnings!

:D

Thank you all very much for your kind comments and support.

You may have been surprised that I dealt - I know some of my fellow contestants were!

But:

a) The offer was 76% of the mean - admittedly with a fairly stable board

b) I considered Sarah's "think-two-deals-ahead" advice - I thought he would make me play on at deal-of-five almost regardless (especially if I took out a big one) and that I would be sorely tempted to gamble at the final two

The relief I felt at both the £100k (Linda) and the £75k (Steve) was immense!

Aaron :-D :-D :-D

I know- it was obvious a mile off! :-D

I think we were all relieved for you- you won a GREAT sum, and that's all that matters, but if you'd have had the 100k or 75k in your box it would have been a bit gutting.

I loved how you beat Noel to the 'break' gag!

:-D :-D

Aaron points out that there could be an inflated offer now, Noel says it's always a geniune offer :?

I loved Noel's rather awkward attempt at claiming the post-deal offers were all genuine! Hmm, I wonder if the £18,000 was, as a sort of sarky come-back

And for what it's worth, I thought £25,000 was a marginal decision. The potential gain was really rather low for a round-of-eight offer, though having said that so was the potential loss.

£30,000 was a marginal decision also, as I explained earlier.

Still, you're in the history books and you won a great deal of money too. What more could you ask for? Well, apart from another zero on that £25,000... but that would be greed.

I was a bit worried when he dealed because i didn't him to leave when he might have had so much more money! But he was right to deal then, so once again i was prooved to be foolish! i have been looking forward to this game for quite a while as i knew we would have quite a large ammount of statistical jargon! Well done Bushy mate, hope you spend the £25k wisely!

Mikey

Just wish you had left me until last Aaron so you would have had a good offer but you went away with a good amount of money, enjoy it.
Pleased you chose me after you had dealt as I would have felt so guilty having the £100,000 in my box for you!
Really missed you when you left our group, hope to see you soon,

Love from Linda xx

I thought you were mad to deal at 25k but boy o boy you knew what you were doing. My mum was here screaming abuse at the telly, lol, she called you all the names under the sun when you dealt and then when it was shown you done a good deal she said "bloody good game that one, that Aarons a wise boy"

The last show to have me jumping and cheering like that was Matts.

Oh and Bushey do you work out? Your pecs looked mighty fine in that shirt ;)

Had to watch it on More4 (sheesh, work just gets in the way these days) and managed to stay away from this thread :D

Cracking game Aaron - brilliant start, and a great choice of when to deal. Not sure I'd have been that sensible

Cheers

Michael

Great game, one I had been looking forward to and certainly didn't disappoint - I was surprised at the deal but it paid off, if he had no dealt that he would have probably ended up being the founder member of the 50p club!

And I just had to work this one out...

Odds of 7 straight blues at the start: 515/1
Odds of 7 straight blues at the start given that you have a blue in your box: 968/1

Super game....have been lurking here for a while but this has forced me to register and post. And due to work I had to wait for the repeat ...thus only just seen it!

Aaron well done and well played. OK there was £30k on offer but you were right to No Deal with the £250K still on the board at that time.

You deserved such a wonderful game, you have been a great player all along and will be missed. Best wishes for the future and enjoy that money :D
