There are gasps all around the studio...

Alfie says he would have said DEAL at that offer.

Noel opens box 18 and reveals £250,000

The whole studio is in shock.

Alfie tells everyone to remember to go that little bit further next time...

Box 6 contains the £20,000

His last five was actually better than Mally's final five and yet he got an offer that was less than half Mally's.

I should say that both Mally and Alfie had Box #18 and the next highest figure after the £250,000 was the £20,000 on both their boards.

The other three were - Mally: 10p, £100 and £250, where Alfie had £50, £750 and £3,000 as his other three.

I don't recall what Morris's final five were other than the £20,000 and £250,000.

Well done Alfie with £20,000. There were 3 numbers below that offer, and only one above, so it wasn't a bad decision to deal. As Noel said, £20,000 is a hec of a lot of money. I wonder if your advice to the contestants to keep going at the end might have influenced one of them to go all the way and win the quarter of a million! ;)

I did have a feeling the £250,000 would come again today.

SPOILER BELOW:

One of these days, the Banker is seriously going to get burned if he continues these tactics, especially if he tries it on the wrong contestant.

I wonder if a £250,000 win will make the banker change his ways after that.

I don't think it was a good game as I knew he dealt at the wrong time when the £250,000 was still in play. He should have listed to his mate which clearly he didn't otherwise he would have said no deal.

I hate it when people deal when the £250,000 is still in play.

That's the SIXTH time in a row that someone has dealt at the fifth offer. (Jenny, Danny, Joey, Neil, Lucy and Alfie). That's only happened once before between shows 18 and 23.

I think Id have Dealed when he did as well, with a 3 in 5 chance of taking out the big one and only having the same money (£20k) left in the game.

Aww, poor Alfie...no idea what I'd have done there, at any of the last three offers. Which suggests to me that the Banker played it pretty well after he stopped messing around. Amazingly, he's the first man to bring the big one to the table since Bob!!

And the bit at the end was awesome...I had to keep pausing to look at all the nicknames and surnames. I just wish I'd recorded it so I could make a full list...

What, the odds that said there was a 60% chance of the £250,000 going in the final round...?

Damn it! I was hoping someone (i.e. you) would make a full list and would post it on the forums. Just have to hope someone else will.

It seems strange saying this after someone has just won £20,000 but I feel sorry for Alfie. The look on his face at the end was devastating.
