Did something funny happen with the music just after Noel congratulated Gary?

They intersperse the stupid 'melancholy piano music' and 'cheery title music' based on what's happening in the game. Quite cheesy if you ask me.

YAY, what a great game! Gary was a fantastic player and I'm so glad he managed to turn it around and get a great OPW - the first on a Tuesday since Valerie! I have to say, though, that for all the Banker went on about not liking Gary, the offers were amazingly generous...the £25k he took was 22p under the mean. I thought of John G at that point too...thank God Gary had a bit more se...erm, a bit less courage...

Luckily though, whilst the 5-box stage board and offer of Gary's game was like that of John G's, we didn't get this at the end of Gary's game! :D

I thought that too! I thought it was going to be an omen, and that I would finally win...but no. Didn't want a measly £1,000 anyway...

I would actually love £1,000, please give it to me...

I loved that board at the 2nd break.

Incredibly, in the last half a year, that's only the fourth OPW on a Tuesday, the others being Valerie in October, Nick D in August, and Melanie in June. Great to see the curse of Tuesdays finally broken, really well done on that £25,000, Gary!

Well done for having that little bit of extra courage Gary - I would have been out of there at the offer of £15k, that courage ruly earned an offer that was the mean of the remaining boxes!

I loved the £24,999 hypo offer - that happened in Maddie's game as well I remember in which the sum dealt was the mean of the two remaining boxes, so he dropped £1 when in all truth he would have dropped a grand or two! ;)

And we nearly had that formation at the second break in £1 Mike's game - except he had 1p instead of 10p ruining the pattern!

First OPW for what seems a long time - even Claudine's game was an OBW - last OPW I believe was Mike's game (that was an OPW as he dealt for the highest offer, and more than both his original and swapped boxes!).

Really enjoyable game, congrats on the £25k, enjoy it Gary! :D

Well done Gary on £25,000. It's usually worth going on from 8 box to 5 box, that extra bit of courage paid off, and it's usually wise to deal at the 5 box stage, that proved the case once again. :D

At the risk of sounding ignorant, what does OPW stand for?

Outright Player Win - i.e. they got the maximum amount of money available to them in the game. It's a term from Bother's Bar, another site that does DOND commentaries.
