Hurrah! This game means my sad table of how often each position has had the £250,000 is now complete! I'm sure you're all very happy for me.

And we get to see the mysterious Clive! It's a shame, he looks like he could have been cool...

No it wasn't, they played it in Lynn's game, infact they played it in most of the early episodes. They ditched it for the music we hear at the end of Patricias game.

Of course I am! :P E5 (where Frank stands now, and where Sarah stood!!) is in the lead, with a massive 23 £250,000s, whereas E9 (Rachel) and E11 (Wendy) are losing, with only 11 each.

Interesting that the Pound Table itself is beaten by every position in the wings as far as having the £250k goes...

CLIVE!!

Image

The mystery of who he was is finally solved. Shame he left, like Dan said he seemed quite cool. At least it clears up who the 'John Noakes lookalike' I mention in the Bother's Bar commentary for Jo's game was...

See, John (on the left) and Clive are dead ringers!

Yeah, hope he and Audrey were both OK in the end, as they never returned unlike Joseph who thankfully came back to play his game.

I guess the filming schedule may have proved too much for one or two - though there have been contestants in their 80s who have completed longish runs on the show!

Poor Jo, everyone's talking about Clive instead of her! :)

Bit of a rubbish deal in all honesty given how it turned out, but £19k was a pretty good offer given the board at the time, and she seemed quite happy with it nevertheless! And I remember reading on Bothers Bar that last December was a time for stupid proveout offers - losing the £50k and £10k would not have made the offer go up to £28k - that was very nearly as generous and Madie's in play offer (Jo had £20k as a safety net instead of £15k), and above the mean! It was even reasonable if you replaced the £100k with the quarter-mill! And £59k on an £100k/£20k split - surely those two values are too far apart to offer a grand short of the mean?

I got to see Gill again, and with box 11, which was the highlight of the show for me! Shame it was so rubbish (had 1p when Gill had it again in Jenni's game).
