Well at the moment it happened the early deal was disappointing, if not entirely unexpected - but against the odds he managed a fantastic perfect proveout, giving us the feel-good show we really needed after Lisa the other day.

And to think if he had no-dealt that third offer, he would almost certainly have chased his losses and gone home with a tenner. Well done Harry - £20,000 TAX FREE! :-D

Will be on More4 tomorrow, I think in the lunchtime slot as well as the regular evening slot which is now a day behind.

:-D Brilliant deal at £20,000 Harry!! I'm really pleased Harry dealt when he did because in terms of the stats and odds it was the right decision. I think it could alter the tactics of the banker and the contestants now especially as they remember that they could be walking away with thousands of pounds "tax free!" Having said that, DOND still needs the big gamblers, especially if we want to see our first jackpot winner.

Well Done Harry. Great show today. I'm into digital cameras. I liked the t-shirts with "It's tax free" on them.

...Deal at £20,000?

Is he mad?

Oh right, he is.

Is this the earliest someone's ever dealt? Did Beryl deal at the 3rd offer too?

Quite a few people have dealt at the 3rd offer...

Really? I only remember Beryl as an early dealer.

I only remember Beryl as well :?

Andrew, Johnnie, Lofty, Melanie......

Bearded James, Michaela ..

I'm normally rubbish at remembering specific things, but dealing at the 3rd offer isnt that rare, so I'm surprised some of you can't remember all the deals.

Yes, 12 contestants so far in the history of Deal Or No Deal. 3 of those games were outright player wins, one of those being Harry's. I've put more information about those 12 games in the stats thread here:

Absolutely brilliant, what a legend, had the game he deserved!! Just what was needed after Lisa!

Don't think I've seen a happier, more light-hearted game in a long time. OK, it wasn't a huge money win, but £20k is a very handsome sum by anyone's standards (and is worth about £27k wages gross when you consider the tax ;)). The T-shirts were absolute genuis!

The only concern I do have (and I fear I'm sounding like Wakey here) was that all the last three games have encouraged early deals. I'm not against them as such, as I just want to see people win the highest amount possible, rather than go on to the end regardless, but there is more chance of someone missing out on a huge sum if it's in their box. I hope when Jeff plays (as surely he must very soon) that his characteristics are rewarded!
