If you go on More4, there is deal or no deal on soon, and if there was no show on yesturday to repeat, i think todays show would be Mark from november.

If im wrong, feel free to delete this topic!

-Completely pointless, but remove the /06, you get 24/7 :-D

Ah, i thought it said 16:10, my eyes are deciving me - Make that 18:10 on more 4 and if you have NTL or Sky, i think 19:10 on more4+1.

I hope so, it could fill in a lot of the gaps we have in this section...

(Why has 'the bankers' post been deleted?)

Wow, Noel's banter with the banker is quite poor in these early episodes...

"Heheh, he says he likes you because you took out the higher amounts".

I'll see if I can get the commentry from screwthebanker or something. It's a bit pointless having a thread about it and no commentary. :D

They opened the other remaining box at the end before his own!

Still, £20,000/£500 final pair, some things haven't changed much...

Yep...only the greatest players get that final two!

Massive final offer, though, after some pretty pathetic ones at the start - these days it seems to be the other way around!

Some short comments while I watched the show. I don't intend to watch many games, just the first few, to see what they were like...

At least that's what I'm telling myself. It's the DoND withdraw really, but I don't want to admit that. :P

First part:
The cameras wobble and the angles are dodgy, with noticable edited cuts in the action
Noel rushes through the player introduction
Constant references to the rules of the game
The independent adjudicator is called the "independent auditor"
The leisurely pace of the game
Noel laughs slightly at a comment by the banker for the first time
£900 offered in the first round with three blues, 15k, 100k removed
The voiceover lady talking about the viewer's competition, without one of the players in the wings doing most of it
Second part:
A shake of the head is accepted as a no deal
1p goes. It is being treated nearly as bad as in the present!
Background music being played that is no longer in use, sort of a more subdued version of the 'positive, contemplative' music
Banker starts to show his true colours over the phone, starts getting a bit irate with the contestant
Noel doesn't call a break with 9 boxes, instead does so with 8 left withholding the offer
Noel also doesn't realise that what's on the board, is unlikely to be what the player goes home with
Third part:
And makes a lot of emphasis over an offer of £8,500
And starts asking contestants to "keep it low"
The squashdown is slower, all the values finish moving at the same time
A player gets feelings about their box being bad, with a 1 in 2 chance of her being right (she's right, it's the £50k)
Banker offers £5,000 with £500, £750, £1k, £10k and £20k, a little over 80% of the average, and Mark confidently declines, which is quite refreshing
It could also be that he doesn't understand that he has a 30% chance of losing the top two
£9,900 offered with £500 and £20k left, it would be half that nowadays!
The other box was opened first before the player's box
Noel leaves the player without any conversation for the viewer's competition, goes to talk to Mark afterwards

It's so different now, how times have changed. :)

The audience went ohhhhh when £9,900 was offered, but they cheered when Nick was offered £8,500 in a similar position.

The opening of the other box before the contestant's own happened in Terry's game as well.

We still do get the occasional game where the box is opened before the break.

First and second offers are fairly meaningless as nobody will deal them, I don't like the way they've become so high recently (John being the exception!) as all too often it just goes downhill from there.
