Noel opens Melissa's Box 6 to reveal £10 :(

Box 11 with Victoria contains the £5,000

Can Box 23 save the game?

Agh, not another blue win! :smt009 :smt011

Lets hope Box 23 is favourable.

I knew it. Another greedy fool.

Box 23's only gonna make the situation worse

Pilgrim of the Day, John, brings Box 23 to the table.

Melissa says DEAL to Box 23.

£20, £10,010, £10, £5 or NOTHING?

Noel opens it to reveal MONEY BACK :(

Melissa keeps the £10

And another blue win it is. :( :smt009

Least this one was sort of unavoidable, and not after a risk like some we've seen lately.

Shame, as she seemed like the sort to have a go at big money if it was there. :smt011

I love it when I'm right.

Enjoy the ten bucks, a direct result of extreme greed.

I must respectfully disagree with this assessment.

Every blue win is avoidable. All that need to be done is taking an offer, and voila, blue win avoided.

But no, everyone wants more money, and their greed drives them to failure.

The producers must love this, as it saves them lots of money.

I expect she would have always kept box 11 to the end, and yesterday it had the £250,000. So possibly a much better win had she been playing yesterday.

What about Nikki Tucker, or Mark de Sousa, or £750 Becky, none of whom got an offer higher than £500?

There are exceptions, but ultimately, the majority of blue wins are avoidable.

Not quite an unavoidable blue win but when the only 2 offers worth considering are under £2,000, I wouldn't blame anyone for no dealing them both.

Great, ANOTHER Banker-inflicted trainwreck. :x :x :smt011 :smt011 :smt019 :smt019 I'm so sick of this non-banker, making rubbish offers throughout which forces every contestant that has a weak board to go to the end. :smt009 :smt011 :smt019

Oh, and the first Canadian to reply to this message is a stupid plunker. :P :smt011

*emerges*

For the most part, these trainwrecks are 'avoidable'. Usually uttering the word 'Deal', as Mark's said before, stops a game's train from veering off track, and crashing, instantly. It's quite an easy thing to say, you know...I just find it strange that our culture here is forever to admonish those who have the GUTS to do it... :smt023

*recedes*

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Are you going to write a complaint letter to the producers about their appalingly mis-timed player selection process?

I wouldn't say Melissa's game was a completely unavoidable trainwreck - the 5-box and 2-box offers were at least worthy of a little consideration, more so than they initially seemed (both could have been 3-figure offers on a different day). It was more a game with the sort of stakes where many players wouldn't mind taking a punt at the remaining bigger sums because they don't have as far to fall as they would from a 5-figure offer. Unlucky that hopes kept getting dashed in that game, although Melissa might have taken it better than the forum did... ;)

His time would be better spent writing a complaint letter to MENSA about himself. sdgthju
