22 boxes, a quarter of a mil- oh hang on a minute. Noel isn't doing his usual intro. Instead he's being chased by a giant telephone. Thankfully our host escapes, but in a last second twist he is crushed to death by a giant box.

Well that was easy. Thanks for reading everyone.

Oh my! In yet another twist it looks as if Noel is alive! Dang it, I do have work to do for the hour after all!

I'm going to pre-empt Edmonds here and explain the new box 23 twist. It's very complicated you see as evidenced by him explaining it at least 5 times per show.

At the end of the game the player can choose to gamble their winnings on box 23. It can contain any one of the following:

DOUBLE - This doubles the player's winning. i.e. they get twice as much. e.g. if they win £3,000 it turns into £6,000 as £3,000 x 2 = £6,000.

+£10,000 - This adds £10,000 to the player's winnings. e.g. if they win £3,000 it turns into £13,000.

MONEY BACK - The player gets their money back. Nothing happens. e.g. if they win £3,000 they still win £3,000

HALF - The player's winnings are halved! Getting this is not advised. e.g. if they win £3,000 they now win £1,500

NOTHING - They definitely want to avoid this. They win NOTHING whatsoever. e.g. if they win £3,000 they now win £0.

Is that clear enough? I'm not sure I explained it very well. I might provide a recap later if it looks like things are getting too complicated.

Anyway, today's player as chosen by Noel is... Jamie!

Jamie is 20 years old and is twice as tall as I am. He currently lives in the North East having moved from Somerset.

His girlfriend is in the audience and seems a bit shy and I get the feeling Noel is going to tease her throughout the episode.

Noel goes through some photos to prove Jamie has a family.

Jamie is a telephone personal bank advisor which Noel isn't interested in so on we go.

Groans for £10,000? Does this audience not know anything?

Oh, I neglected to inform you that Jamie has box 13. That's the box yours truly would always choose given the choice.

Round One

Poor Stephen with 17 is being left til the end.

22 - Dora - £10,000

8 - James - 10p

Jamie would be worried about 13 but unfortunately he has it.

16 - Dean - £3,000

2 - Erin - £75,000

5 - Mick - £15,000

I've seen better opening rounds.

Break time. Good lord that phone in competition was made to sound dull. I miss the days when they didn't have to read all the legal stuff.

The Banker said he noticed Jamie would've dealt at £23,000 during Nick's game and £8,000 during Kash's game. Hence the £8,000 offer.

Right, back to it.

13 minutes and counting without Noel mentioning box 23 by the way.

Round Two

3 - Jason - £10

As an aside, in HD and with these new name badges I find them MUCH easier to read!

1 - Vicky - £1,000

7 - Roger - 1p

Wouldn't be my choice for the 1p kiss. Jamie looked like he was trying for a hug instead but Roger wasn't having any of that.

The Banker reveals Jamie dyes his hair as he started going grey at 18. The Banker says him and Noel are lucky as he went bald at 12.

The Banker thinks Jamie is wet and soppy, hence the offer is...

Banker's offer:

£12,500

Jamie wants to take his family to Blackpool to watch the darts. £12,500 should be enough for that.

He also wants a deposit for a flat. Noel sticks his foot in by asking if it's with the girlfriend. He says there's a time and a place for this discussion which is now. Nice one Noel.

NO DEAL

Ah, he lasted 17 minutes. He's now explaining box 23. We're way on top of that though as I've already explained it so we get a 2 minute break.

Round Three

11 - Anita - £500

15 - JP - £5,000

This is feeling quite pacey...

6 - Lily who is one of these he had that last time and I had this which means types. Noel makes fun of her and calls a break.

Roger is complaining that someone has turned his deal light on and Noel using it as an excuse to say nob as 16:25.

Ok, so Lily has got £250 and round three is complete.

Time for the banker.

The Banker is going to play a little game with Jamie as they're both personal banking advisors. He asks Jamie what the offer should be.

The Banker sends out a bowler hat with his offer. If Jamie can guess within £500 he'll add £1,000. But if he's £500 out he'll knock £1,000 off.

Jamie guesses £15,000

Oops says Noel.

The banker said £16,250 which is now...

Banker's offer:

£15,250

Why would you estimate £15,000? :smt011

£500k is NOT going to happen!
