Sorry for the late start. I didn't think I'd be able to cover the show today, but I should be OK now. :smt023

It's Pip's game today. He's a youth worker from Bradford. He has Box 20 on the table, and a friend in the audience.

Round 1

Box 4 with Sunny - £75,000 :?

Box 6 with Harriet - £3,000

Box 12 with Wendy - £100

Box 14 with Sean - £15,000

Box 3 with Emma - £1,000

Banker's offer:

£9,000

Pip says:

NO DEAL

Noel calls a break...

I'd expect about £12k now.

£11,500? Close enough

Wow, says Pip. He talks about his cat, who is a bit annoying, and says he wants to get a cat flap with his winnings! Some bizarre cat flap banter ensues!

Pip says:

NO DEAL

Good 2nd offer for the board, with it being 103% of the Fair Deal. :smt023 I have bad feeling, though, that things can only worse from here generosity-wise judging by the Banker's recent form. :smt011

I'm 99% certain that the Banker will use the £50,000 going as an excuse to low-ball the next offer to four figures. Hopefully Pip has the guts and wisdom to confidently decline it.

Noel says that swung it the Banker's way. The Banker says this is a classic 'risk-reward' board, where the offers can shoot up, or crash.

Banker's offer:

£11,500

Sue says that's a respectful offer, and analyses the board a bit. Pip says he's seen many offered the same offer. His friend offers some advice as well, though Noel doesn't listen as the lady sitting next to her is wearing his spare wig!  Steve says Pip can do a lot with £11,500, and he could hit the top three in the next round. Rosie says you don't win big unless you take a risk, as Pat proved yesterday.

Pip says:

NO DEAL before Noel finishes the question properly!

They try again, and Pip says:

NO DEAL

Hopefully Pip keeps the top 3 amounts to 5 box and ends the drought of Power 5 wins.

Round 4

Some lucky numbers now.

Box 16 with Douglas - £250,000 :(

And this instantly is a different game, says Noel. He doesn't want a killer round.

Box 15 with newbie Mana - £750

Box 1 with Sheila - £100,000  :(

Banker time...

That is extraordinary, says Noel. The Banker says the bogus notion of more blues means more to aim at has saved him thousands over the years.

Banker's offer:

£500

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!! :( :(

Pip's only hope of recovering to 5 figures now is if he keeps the £35k to 2 box (and even then getting 5 figures is only a hope  ).

He's got to go all the way now. No one in their right mind would deal at £500! :smt019

Pip says £5,000, which is still on the board, would mean lots to him. Some advice is offered by the wings, and Pip's friend.

Pip says:

NO DEAL

Noel calls a break...

Ooh no, says Noel.

Box 13 with Shona - 1p :D

Banker time...

He's not going to get 5 figures with that configuration as the mean is just £7,162.
