It's been a distinctive game says Noel. He says even if £75k's in the box it's not that bad...

Joyce has in box 9... 10p!!

The grandkids come down to congratulate Joyce.

Last box with Ryan has the £75,000

Noel says the support from the grandkids has been immense, and that Ron probably can't wait to get to the Taj Mahal.

The banker rings and a bouquet & champagne are brought out to celebrate Joyce and Ron's 64th anniversary! :D

You are most welcome Mr 94!

When I saw that DOND had retweeted one of Joyce's grandkids, and that they'd randomly posted about contestant applications on Facebook, I did wonder if something special was happening today. In the end we got a great character game with a surprise 5-box gamble resulting in a spanking - which is a worthwhile watch in my eyes. Enjoy the money Joyce and Ron and congratulations on reaching 64 years together! :smt113

Well done, Joyce. :smt023 She certainly earned that OPW, making a VERY brave No Deal at 5 box and making a sensible Deal at 2 box.

On another note, hopefully DoND history is made tomorrow for if the player spanks the Banker, it will be the longest run of Banker :spank in the history of the show (right now this run currently ties the July/August 2009 and the June 2012 run of Banker Spankings)

Joyce was a great charecter and that was a fabulous game. Did honestly think the Banker had her at five box, but that was a brave no deal, followed by a sensible - and fully vindicated - deal on an all or peanuts final two. Can't really criticise that at all

Lovely old lady (and no hesitancy at all in either her box-choosing decisions or the decisions about her offers), great banter with her family (I don't think she asked for advice from the wings once during the show) and a great result.

The kind of show that it's a pleasure to see live.
