I would have expected a deal there.

Well, that's the huge regret gone.

Round 6 - proveout

21 - Kerry - £35,000

Noel says Gemma's only made a relatively small mistake.

15 - Ryan - £10,000

5 - Joe - 50p

Banker time with 10p and £50 remaining...

Banker's offer would've been:

£13

So, another cautious deal works out. Looks like any possible effect of Paddy's game has worn out, and we're back to where we were this time a month ago.

Fair result anyway. :smt023

Noel quotes the banker that yet again the player's got the timing right before things fell apart.

Noel opens Gemma's box 22 and reveals 10p

Box 18 with Zie contains the £50

Gemma talks about what the money will do for her.

I think that would be a more relevant statement had we had players with strong boards since Paddy's game but we haven't had any really strong boards since then.

That's a good point. As cautious as some of the deals we've had since Paddy's game have been, they have generally been on weak-ish boards, rather than on stable boards like we had last month.

Okay, I have to say "another cautious deal vindicated" sounds really vindictive (and maybe entirely because "vindicate" sounds like "vindictive"). These players are not conspiring to give you guys shows that you don't like. They're playing for money. People bitter about that need to realize that Gemma today would have won substantially less if she were "braver".

Didn't someone point out how we had a month of players playing to 5-box? That's something to be happy about! :)

HO HUM, another cautious Deal vindicated. :smt011 :smt011 :smt019 :smt019 :smt019 :smt019 :x :x

Just filling in the void. ;)

Er, yes, I think it was cautious. It worked out well for her though, even if I didn't expect the Deal and wouldn't have dealt there myself. Fortune favours those who fortune favours - it doesn't care whether you're brave or not.

Hey, that's my job. :x :x :smt013 :smt013 ;) ;)

Yes, today's Deal was VERY VERY VERY cautious and did not deserve to be vindicated like that. :smt011 :smt019 It looks like the wings are complete blue-phobs again as everyone thought the 8 box should be dealt when it was a RUBBISH offer for the board. I have a bad feeling I'll have to bring back THAT moment again very soon.
