Noel talks about the curse of the newbie, and says it's been prevalent a lot lately.

A hugely relieved Banker: "Welcome to the party, Suwanna." He admits it was a cruel final box, and that he needs to protect the remaining reds.

Banker's offer:

£11,500

Despite the Jackpot going, that is still not a board the Banker should push his luck on.

That's still a good board with £20-£50k there! :)

Judging by the clock, I'd expect a No Deal now.

Red/blue combinations aren't going to be a lot more here (and raise BG possibilities for the £35k and £50k). I'd take this

"This is the big one. This is the big decision now," says wife Jo, who makes an exaggerated point about staying completely out of it. Noel reinforces her point that "it could go dramatically wrong."

Matt mentions about not wanting to be greedy, whilst also quoting OHO again. Gary says he'd be unlucky to leave an all-blue finish, but that he has to think about (the unspoken: the 60% chance of) the red/blue finish.

Matt says DEAL. Which surprised me as I'd already typed No Deal!

Hmm, there's still loads of time left, so we could see 'the Device formerly known as the Banker's Gamble' here... :ponder:

I'd expect the BG at £500 / £35k.

This has undeal written all over it. Any P5/blue finish offers the potential for it (and I'd take it on if £50k-high, not if £35k-high).

"Were you destined for the round from hell?" It's proveout time!

19 to the end. He's all emotional now, Noel says he could n't take any more.

Box 4 (Aurea) - £100
Noel mumbles despondently.

Noel now insists on £50,000.
Box 7 (Sam) - £50,000
Wish granted! Now, either red will do, for different reasons.

The £20,000 guarantee if the blue goes is mentioned again.

Box 12 (Bryn) - £20,000

Banker time with £500 and £35,000 remaining...

I sniff the Bankers Gamble...

15 minutes of the show left - so there is enough time left on the clock for it to happen.

Hopefully a blue/£35k finish and a successful BG for £35,000.

Banker goes out of the way to mention that he's a human on the other end of the line. He appreciates the comment about his response to his father dying, and talks about his father being much kinder!

The buildup is protracted. The consequence is inevitable.

Banker's offer:

Undeal/BG

YES! :D

Very much doubt he will accept it though.

Gamble £11k to win £23,500. The kind of situation where it should be used. I wouldn't deal this but it's in the territory where I wouldn't criticise a player for taking the gamble.

The timing left on the clock suggests he may accept the Bankers Gamble.

Influence from the family really kills gameshows! Remember what happened on The Cube at the £250k game? :smt011

Wait, first she says to stick with £11,500 and now she says to go for it? :suspect:

She is saying he should do what he wants though.

Jo can't take any more. Matt didn't expect it. Pretty much everyone calls for him to stick. Matt doesn't think he's got £35,000 in Box 8, which inevitably leads to the swap offer.

This is the loudest advice I've heard outside the US version. Jo is now leaning on him to Deal, and even suggests he won't actually offer the swap after all! The Banker's enjoying the cat-and-mouse here, and puts the swap decision in Jo's hands if Matt says No Deal!

I'm missing who else in the family is there... ah there we go, the mother-in-law.

This dynamic defies typing about it. I feel oddly amused and uncomfortable at once. Noel opts for "fascinating," and can't believe the irony that this has happened after he dealt because he can't take any more!

And to make it worse, the Banker rings back as he asks for the question. Now he's offering Matt the opportunity to look in one of the boxes. And he accepts!
