Ok the final offer in live play.
She is all or nothing.. He asks her if she does want an offer  He is considering not giving her an offer.... I don't think thats a first.

Guessing £1/£35k would have been a stick.

What is it with Gemmas and £35k finishes?

Why do you want to encourage her to go for it? Why would the penny being there encourage her to go on?

Because it lowballs the offer when it's kept to the end with anything other then the £250,000.

It makes the offer lower but that does not encourage going on because she could still go away with a penny.

Why are you complaining? If she went on then she would have gone away with 1p.

It's not all about guts or courage, it's making the right decision for the player.

No one would risk it with 1p there.

£9,000 was still a good offer at that point. We've seen worse offers at 2-box. Remember Martin's game where he had £1/£35,000 and got offered a derisory £6,100?

I know, but had she said NO DEAL she could have swapped and gotten the £35,000. :ponder:

She certainly made a sensible decision, but it just would have been astonishing to have 3 (J)Gemmas win the same amount. :smt119

But the Banker doesn't always offer the swap. We don't know if he would've done or not.

Jemma said she didn't have any special numbers so I can't see any reason for the Banker to offer a swap.

It seems that Gemmas can only win £35,000 if they spell it with a G, and they don't shorten it to Gem. :smt023

We've had that final two at least three times before; Fadil, Chantelle and Bob from last Easter come to mind. There may be more.
