Danny's game today.

Director Cecil B. D'Edmonds welcomes us to the first Love Week special. All the players are dressed as film characters.

Danny has Box 3 today.

Daniel Dover, from Chelmsford, a waiter and head barman. He is currently single, which prompts some sad music from a pianist in the corner! Danny considers an 'oldie' to be thirty or older! The Banker calls, and tries to get him thrown out!

Danny has a photo of himself with Olly Murs, who he has seen live many times! His cousin Sophie is in the audience for support.

The usual chair has been replaced by a director's chair for the specials.

Here we go...

The Banker calls before we begin, and introduces the traditional Love Week gameplay. Danny must select a box, whose occupant will then take a seat on a casting couch in the corner. Opening the selected box will result in an instant offer. The player can also predict their contents, and, if right, themselves and Danny will win a holiday to Paris.

Danny selects Box 17 with Lyn. Lyn makes her way to the casting couch.

I expect him to be very cautious but hopefully I'm wrong.

Best thing to do is pick that "box" at 5 or 4 box. More chance of winning the holiday that way.

The Banker says this is the day he's been dreading; the moment Danny arrived, he had trouble written all over him! He thinks Danny could be the first male £250,000 winner.

Wow, what a massive opening offer!

Noel says that's one of the highest opening offers of all time. Lyn offers him some advice. Danny says his uncle had a good feeling about Box 3, which he has!

Some dramatic piano music accompanies Danny's answering!

Danny says:

Also, blimmin' eck I might deal that just to completely subvert the twist. I don't fancy him to maintain that generosity given that we know that at least one previous Love Week has seen the producers encourage No Dealing/leaving the necklace into round 6, although there's much less "Endemol Wakeyism" now than there was then.

That is a shame, says Noel, but the good start means it's OK if you find something low now. Danny takes his hat off, leading to Noel mocking his haircut!

The Banker says that was a much better round for him.

He's still concerned about you, says Noel. He then reminds him of the gameplay twist. Sully advises another round. Danny's cousin says it's a good offer, but it could go either way. Dave says there's a good feeling in the air.

£14k is still very good for the £140k taken out. In fact, I think DEAL EYE would probably have gone now.

Oddly, that offer semi-vindicated the ND, as it implies future generosity (at worst, the Banker lowballs at 11- and 8-box, then goes back to generosity at 5-box - and more so if 17 is in play - to "reward courage").
