If Noel's shirt is a barometer of how this game is going to go, we have a new member of the 1p club incoming. It defies belief.

Noel mentions how the majority of contestants have targets, and how Jean immediately dealt once she got to hers!

Leo Porpilla (sp?) has box 17 today.

It's the box I'd swap for, which is approximately as meaningless as the fact he does a noisy and jaunty walk to the table.

Born in the Philippines, whose version of DoND has probably had more jackpot winners than Deals, if my viewing on YouTube is any guide. Oh he's a maths graduate who used to teach algebra and trigonometry.

He talks about how he's 61, has never been in a TV studio until DoND, and said at his audition it'd be a defining moment of his life to be on national TV. Noel talks up the combination of this and his mathematical ability.

Leo mentions how the Philippines were run by a military dictator at the time, and it is a privilege to be in the UK, though Noel points out the weather isn't as good! (At least we don't have tropical cyclones as the Philippines do!).

Apparently there's even more on file about his background, but we've got a game to play for now. Formalities complete. "This is the moment you have described as a real privilege. Please enjoy it, and make the most of it."

GAME ON!

ROUND 1
"This is a random game. It seems so simple and yet so complicated."

He wants to buy a house in his village in the Philippines, which costs about £5,000!

Noel and Hannah exchange a laugh about her love of mustaches.
Box 1 (Hannah) - £10
Leo is definitely excited.

Box 11 (Trev) - £250,000 :(
Leo does not take that well. "That is a great shame, and you can see how much that means."

Another extended contestant exchange, this one with Becky about her wanting a man with polished shoes and clean teeth. Noel gets his toothbrush out. Don't ask.
Box 12 (Becky) - £10,000

Box 21 (Adam) - £500

Box 18 (Kimberly) - £5,000

Banker time

Noel says the loss of the £250k means the low reds are more damaging.

The Banker is "honoured" to meet Leo, who hadn't applied to any other game shows besides this one.

"You will recognise that you have a very flat board," the Banker says.

Banker's offer:

£5,750

Leo calls it a "very good offer, a lot of money, it goes a long way in my country. But there's a lot more money there."

NO DEAL, then.

The crowd starts chanting Leo's name, and Noel thinks Leo will find the right time to Deal as we go to the break...

We're back. Leo is bringing the noise. Noel says Leo will make the most of his moment without... oh he used the s-word (squander) in the context of gambling too far!

ROUND 2
Box 4 (Waraporn) - £15,000
Leo took that a bit worse than perhaps it warranted, it was the lowest of the block.

Noel emphasises the Banker's Power 5 as the main problem for Leo.

Box 14 (Steph) - £100,000 :(

Comparisons to Steve's start from Noel. It's so bad that Leo, maths graduate, starts using Mally Logic.

Box 3 (Irene) - 50p

Banker time...

Strictly, Irene had a blue. Oh, his inversion of Mally Logic: "Because if you have a blue, it's good for anyone."

Noel says over the phone he shouldn't try to understand Leo Logic! Leo said in all seriousness on the wings the game would be easier if they stopped moving the £250k around!! :D :D

Banker's offer:

£5,000

Again, Leo emphasises it's a lot of money for him, and this time quotes that it's good for the board, but with "a lot more money there", NO DEAL.

ROUND 3
Leo would like to go to Hawaii with his wife, who has seen it in brochures. The weather is similar to the Philippines, but with it being a state of the US, it's far wealthier and "a completely different ballgame". Noel talks about how the Philippines has come through its military dictatorship, and for that, Leo calls him "a genius" and even "a living Einstein"!! This is quite amusing actually. "Of course I'm on your side, you've got a job as my agent!"

You can't say he's not having fun in Bristol.

He wants the penny.
Box 6 (David) - 1p
He gets it! And inevitably celebrates exuberantly. The pilgrims are chanting his name. Between that and the music you'd think he'd just secured an OPW.

Don't even ask what was going on there, I think he wanted another kiss!

Box 9 (Trish) - £250
Worth the wait. He really is exuberant.

"It looks so simple, but so complex. Because they keep moving the numbers." :D Noel jokes that he's complained about that to Channel 4! ;) Then he suggests glass boxes!! :D :D

Noel calls a break after that!!

That Ludovico Einaudi music used on the "Derek" trailer was the music I played every time I boarded the Tube for ages to deal with panic attacks.

Anyway, we're back with Leo. He's in Hounslow, and works in security at a hotel (guessing one around Heathrow?).

Noel jokingly says that in lieu of glass boxes, he can point out the amounts left on the board are in the boxes left in play! :D

Ahmed had the £75k yesterday. Danny's not had a red yet... he'll be happy if he's half the man Leo is now when he grows up...

Box 15 (Danny) - £100

Banker time

Why even bother asking the players what they had last time? It's called RANDOM!

The chanting is on after the all-blue round.

More jokes about Noel's new "Einstein" tag!

Initial joke offer...

Banker's offer:

Therapy and glasses

Actual cash bit...

Banker's offer:

£7,000

Considering it's only up £2k after an all-blue he really overreacted to that.

We run through the ambitions - house in the Philippines, holiday in Hawaii, and... double glazing. A big deal for him, that last one; he lives under the Heathrow flight path.

Ahmed suggests one more round. Emphasis on one. Nobody's suggesting a Deal. Myyles points out there have been crashes, but that the £20k provides hope even in the worst-case scenario. Steph talks about hotel conversations, and how he knows the value of the money to him. Myyles says he'd actually Deal this!

Leo doesn't. NO DEAL.

That was rubbish. An all blue round should've made it at least £8,000!
