Only the all-red finishes with the £100k are going to be significantly more than the offer here.

Kate's reaction was not one of someone who was going to turn it down, put it that way. She got awfully excited. :D

Her nephew's advice - "I've never been so happy to be so wrong." :p He asks what her reaction would be to selling the £100k for £24k. David thinks the same way as me, pointing out the reaction to the £24k. Jean points out the £10k. Gaz offers pro-gambling advice, another on the wings directly cancels him out by noting she's already taken a risk, Becky talks about the regret balance.

The decision... with Mike and Waraporn clinging to each other... is DEAL.

Sensible deal. Having hit 2 improbable rounds, she'd be unlucky for the 2-box offer to be more.

40% of course she has a higher amount in her box but that's irrelevant at this point in the game.

Hmm. I can't help but intuitively think that the £14,000 offer was better. I'd have taken that, and I'd probably take this too. But i'd be tempted to continue now.

The Banker has her down as a gambler I reckon so I think we all know what we could see the offer will be now.

Enough time left of the show for it to happen.....

Kate apparently wants to BE spanked by the Banker, not vice versa! Phone rings - "that can be arranged..."

ROUND 6 - proveout round

Box 22 (Hannah) - £50

Box 1 (Steph) - £10,000
Wrong red.

Noel indirectly implies £750/£100k would lead to a higher proveout offer, and probably makes that a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Box 7 (David) - £75,000
We're about to find out!

Banker time...

Unless it's the Banker's Gamble, £75,000 may not be enough.

"£100,000 is in there," cackles Kate.

I think I know where this is going.

Banker's offer would've been:

£38,000

I actually laughed.

Noel builds this up.

Box 12 has £100,000. :|

Aw, no. Another perfectly sensible deal invalidated. :(

Can't really argue with £24,000 at the end of the day...

Well if you were going to get £38k on the £100k/blue finish, then that implies close to £30k on the £75k/blue finish and that might have made £24k not enough on that 5-box.

Box 5 with Jean ends the game with the £750.

Noel cancels out his Wakeyism mid-flow to point out Kate has £24,000, cue big cheers. That's the car, and there'll be a donation to a cancer research charity, in the memory of her husband who died of presently incurable pancreatic cancer. And the Victoria Falls holiday is on, too.

Just being a bit more brave and it would have paid off big time... though can't see her no dealing the £38,000.

£38,000? Get the hell out Banker!

A very sensible deal made to look bad by an awful proveout. I just hate it when that happens. :(

Only the Idiot of Ipswich Town could have faulted that game.

The gambles were calculated, nothing near reckless and it paid off handsomely (disregarding the climax, nothing over £30,000 would have been offered or turned down).

A nice day's work. Happy chaps.

£38,000 would have been fair. It seems we've been mellowed in recent years by consistently poor offers at 2-box.

Whether he would have offered what is fair...is another question entirely.

Kate was unfortunate there in the proveout...it could easily have gone her way. But like with Steve, here is another game which morally was won - but statistically not so.

I really can't put this down as a win of any sort personally, though. She was unlucky yes, but it's nowhere near even our new TBD definition. Shame, as she gained £24,000 from a game which had looked over, halfway through it...
