You are right that it is not a regular occurence and I never say it is going to happen every day.

That was to Mark :ponder:

Headache from Noel guilt-tripping early dealers can be a right pain in the... Anadin, sponsors Deal or No Deal.

Except, save for Noel saying the Banker "won the psychological battle" despite him actually trying to tease her into No Dealing, we're not getting it pre-emptively.

ROUND 4 - proveout round 1
Box 13 (Kate) - £250,000
And we're not going to get it in live play either at this rate! :D

Box 20 (Steve) - £75,000
This is astonishing. This is spectacular board devastation.

"The Banker taunted you with the prospect of £40,000 if you found the three lowest sums in live play... it would now appear you are on the verge of taking out the top three."

Box 6 (Waraporn) - £5,000
The second all-red round of the game...

Banker's offer would've been:

£1,500

ROUND 5 - proveout round 2

Box 14 (newbie Giuseppe - Adam wasn't new, my mistake earlier) - £250
No newbie curse this time.

Box 4 (Gaz) - 1p
No kiss this time.

Box 19 (Myyles) - £10
All-blue.

All blue round (including the 1p)... offer is probably back up at £15,000 again.

"Interesting board," Noel says, and one he thinks we'd talk up in live play. But...

Banker's offer would've been:

£12,000

No OPW-denying inflation here!

Oh, Mark and Charles, you two are so easy to troll. So much so that total non-trolls like the always-fun Skyline are now springing traps for you guys. And the funniest part is that you both fall into them. Every. Single. Time.

More power to you, Mr. Skyline :smt023.

ROUND 6 - proveout round 3

Noel is talking up the £15k-£100k gap.

Box 11 (Steph) - 10p

First use of "blown the opportunity" from Noel.
Box 16 (Lynda) - £500
Now his Wakey side gets excited. "This is going to be alright," he insists, in mitigation.

Box 17 (Irene) - £5

Wow. £20,000 v £100,000 proveout finish...

Talk about a see-saw game. And Noel inevitably swings. Abi starts to cry.

The Banker says the big-money boards are hard to play because of how much money has to be declined to get to the end of them. Apparently that Deal improved Banker-Welsh relations...

Banker's offer would've been:

£51,000

Noel says the £15k-£20k uplift is "relatively modest" before guilt-tripping about the £100,000.

He opens box 8 to reveal she had... £100,000.

And she reacts horribly.

Aw, that is so cruel! To be deprived of a third offer OPW in the final round. :( (Bit like Valerie's game from June last year)

Gutted that it's in there, but serves her right for being very cautious.

She probably would have swapped if she had a chance.

The first OBW of the season, and it comes in terrible fashion.
I don't think any of the offers in the game were dealable, BTW.

Being cautious is not crime, it does not deserve a punishment like that.

Noel rubs salt in the wounds. He gets the tissues out, because he had to, because she was crying.

Box 7 is opened by Hannah to reveal £20,000, closing the game.

We get Banker laughter over the phone, and the subsequent boos, and more lampshading of the "Welsh women" trope. Before speaking to a tearful Abi at the end of the game. Oh, it's made her laugh at least. Something he said. She thanks him... for what turns out to be a gift. In a gold envelope... Two tickets to a Vaccines concert.
