Sorry, slightly late today, forgot that it was on at 16:25 and not 16:35 as I thought.

So much of the spiel has been missed out, not the end of the world. There's always +1 or 40D if you simply must see the intro.

And as the simulcast finally loads up, I see that it's... MARION playing !!

For the previous game, had the £250,000.

Don't know what to make of her yet, but hopefully it won't be a slow game.

''MARION - GOOD LUCK !!!'' bellows Edmonds, and we are off !

Russ (Box 4) - £500

Who does Russ remind me of ? It'll come to me soon...

Noel talks about Health and Safety for a bit. He's obsessed with it, something that doesn't come as much of a surprise if you've seen enough of his preaching on the telly.

Bert (Box 7) - £750

There is a kiss after every box opening. This could take some years.

'Handsome' Harrison (Box 19) - £15,000

To save time and tape, Harrsion wanders to the table for his kiss.

Ben (Box 22) - £100,000

Ben comes over to the table for his awkward hug and kiss.

Lisa (Box 21) - £50,000

Has the Banker ever been to Aberdeen ? Not intentionally, a mistake you see. He hates it and would rather visit anywhere else in the country.

The box is valued at £3,000. Marion dismisses it immediately, no question asked.

The formal question is put and it's declined all the same.

''NO DEAL''

Put the kettle on and come back in a few minutes !

Aberdeen is known as the 'Granite City'.

Marion tells us to ''never retire. It can only cause aches and pains''.

Kris (Box 12) - £35,000

We are introduced to Marion's daughter in the audience. A brunette-haired clone.

''Come on mother'' (Get some blues).

Marion gets confused as to where she is. She thought she was ready to decline an offer. Time to retire I thnk !

Jason (Box 14) - £5,000

''Motoring through the reds'' - Edmonds.

Lucia (Box 17) - £5

Marion does have an appetite for the reds.

So the offer remains at £3,000. As a bonus, she gets a card sent to her by the crew. It's from her penpal, Dorothy (from Bristol), and it's quite a sweet little piece. Aww.

Then Marion goes to pick another box, forgetting the box evaluation that needs answering. It then gets answered, but without the formal question.

Then after the question (and a dreadful Scottish accent), it's a NO DEAL

Pat (Box 3) - £10

Billy (Box 18) - £75,000

Hannah (Box 9) - After the break !

Marion met Hulk Hogan once and we see a picture of this meeting. The '80s titan was impressed at her story of fending off a burglar/mugger (one of the two) and wanted to meet the iron lady of the Aberdeen coast.

... it's been a few minutes, so let's get Hannah's box open.

£10,000

This is a very volatile board with the £250,000 present and losing it will more than likely force her to the end.

We get a rare ''hat-trick-stick'' - it's £3,000 again !

More absent mindedness comes before the formal question is put, which is given an answer of NO DEAL

We have our archetypal eccentric elder lady today. About 45% chance she keeps the QM to 5-box and gets a decent offer.

This will now be a decent offer... probably £6,000.

Laura (Box 20) - 50p

Some gain-axing for Kaledmutant's pleasure there as Laura ran up the walk of wealth for her kiss in a tight-fitting top. I, er, didn't pay much attention. No.

Kirsty (Box 15) - £1

Jean (Box 6) - £100

It's the business end of the game now. Leave the joviality at bay now as the evaluation increases to...

£9,000

£9,000 isn't a bad offer for this board. Unlike some deals for similar sums with the Jackpot there, it would be understandable to deal here. But not a definite deal either.

How much would a £250k/£20k/peanuts final 5 be today and is it worth the risk of the low chance of it happening?

Those are the key questions. Caution wouldn't be the worst thing today.

But we have a gambling old lady today.
