The first full week of November saw three low wins, two of them unavoidable, and 47,000 people selling the £250,000. It has to be said, our spirits were somewhat charred.

Mercifully, we have had an improvement this last week, with Charlie and Teresa selling low value boxes for a decent haul and some cracking tension provided by Tommy, despite the £5 outcome. However, no-one has achieved an OPW in November, in fact, no-one has since Sheri on October 25th (and that was recorded in May !). We can only hope that this week gets off to a good start...

''Now on 4, we do the deal''.

Edmonds talks about the ''unprecedented week'' we have seen, with the £250,000 coming to the table 5 times in 16 games. We are treated to a montage illustrating this.

Playing today is... MARC !!

Marc Kay is from Bolton and works in sports. He was once, two years back, emplyee of the year.

A photo of the parents, one of them is a bus driver. Apparently, bus drivers work hard.

He has brought his girlfriend, Rebecca, with him in the audience (who is gorgeous by the way).

Housekeeping done, LET'S GO !!

Some nonsense about a system. Didn't make much coherent sense, so we'll ignore that bit.

Mike (Box 1) - £5,000

Marc says he doesn't mind hitting low reds early on. He says it ''leaves you more scope for the later rounds''. I think KP will have something to say about that.

Chan (Box 22) - treats us to a story which lasts for a record duration of 48 weeks. Everyone is in despair.

... 48 weeks later, he reveals £15,000.

David reveals that he is colourblind. The Banker rings up and points out that Marc knows the stats. I wonder if he remembers that the only person to take all 5 low reds in the opening round won a grand total of £50 ?

Charlotte (Box 21) - £100

Franca (Box 7) - £50

Ben (Box 5) - £5

BREAK TIME !!

Umm... I think you clicked the wrong buttons there. :P

And now a break BEFORE the offer?! :smt011

Looks like this offer's being talked up.

That fifth box had some very obvious editing down, which is a good sign pace-wise.

On taking out low reds early on - it makes it both more likely and more important that you hit blues thereafter. That said, for any given board, it's usually better to hit the blues last having hit reds earlier, as the Banker tends to respond to momentum.

Marc's already seriously thinking about dealing. He points out it's a "serious amount of money to turn down".

"I know the odds. That's all I can see. I can't see colours." You'd do well on Miljoenenjacht, Marc, the amounts are all in gold.

NO DEAL.

He's shaping up to be a cautious player... clearly not a good board reader it seems at the moment...

Oh he caught up, good on you psychokiller :)

Huge blow there. Think he might well get caught chasing the £15k now.
