Round 4

Noel says this could be the pivotal round.

Box 2 with Adamu - £3,000

Box 11 with Russ - £1,000

If you can avoid the top two, that's it, says Noel.

Box 20 with Ben - 1p :D

Banker time...

Is that the Jackpot Win music playing for the 1p kiss? :ponder:

The Banker says that was a very big final box.

Banker's offer:

£24,500

Jake says Hazel will be chasing the game if she hits one of the top two. Marc says there are just three blues to hit, and every box has a 37.5% chance of going. Donna says she'd go on because of the safety net. Noel says, if Hazel can just keep the top two, she could get away with hitting any of the other six.

The Banker says hitting the £250,000 could see the offer go as low as £4,500; hitting the three blues could easily result in a £44,500 offer, but the odds of doing so are less than 2%.

Hazel says:

DEAL

I feel just only one more round in it.

Hopefully the £250,000 will go.

Noel reminds us of David's agony in the proveout yesterday.

Noel calls a break...

Very good offer. 62.5% chance of hitting reds now. I certainly would've considered the offer.

The Banker definitely downplayed the five-box offer to get a Deal there. Watch as he doesn't do anything of the sort in proveout...

I'd have basically called his bluff and gone "right, I'll play for two-box then, with almost a 50% chance of keeping one of the top two, and three five-figure backups to act as either bailouts or big kickers". Although I suspect the Banker wouldn't ever do that against me because he'd know I'd call him on it!

Anyway, I felt that offer was just short of the mark for me, but job done for her and hard to criticise.

We're back...

Round 5 - proveout

Noel says this is an extraordinary period, as the £250,000 has been staying to the end, often with other big sums. He reminds us of how shattered David was after his proveout yesterday.

Box 17 with Jake - £750

We'd have been very happy about that, says Noel. He reminds us that an all-blue round could see an offer of £44,500.

Box 22 with Franca - £250

What, says Noel. This is a replica of David's agony, he says.

Box 1 with newbie Lucia - £15,000

Banker time...

If she was still in live play at five box with just ONE blue... hopefully she would have been a good board reader.

I expect £40,000 offer.

That's not good enough, says Noel. The Banker says he can't remember a period like this; he says people have been winning huge sums of money, but there have been no spankings.

Banker's offer would've been:

£44,500

Round 6 - proveout

Box 18 with Marc - £20,000

That's right in the middle, so we know nothing, says Noel.

Box 15 with Carla - £75,000

You still haven't done it, but you're going the right way, says Noel.

The Banker calls, and says, if the next box is blue, the final offer would've been £104,500!

Box 13 with Sue - £50

Banker time with £10,000 and £250,000 remaining.

Cue the laughter from the Banker, and the boos from the pilgrims.

Banker's offer would've been:

£104,500

Noel reveals £250,000 in Hazel's Box 6! :(

What can one says, says Hazel.

Box 21 with Donna contains the £10,000.

Noel says that's the fifth time the £250,000 has been on the table in recent times, and people have been leaving far too soon. Hazel says she respects the money, and she's thrilled with it. :D

There are deals that deserve a proveout like that. This wasn't one of them.

You would not believe how long Hazel's poetry went in real time

When she had finally finished and Edmondo took out the banker's poem, he (Edmondo) said "Thankfully this one's a little shorter"

And you really had to be there to see how sad Edmondo was at the end of this game :( He put his head in his hands and said "What is happening with these games at the moment", did his usual thanks for coming to everyone but without his usual zip and slowly trudged off :(

Thanks to Edmondo, the banker and crew for the usual warm welcome to the studio for David and Hazel's games and look forward to going again soon :)

Was difficult not to say something when so many games recently have mirrored today and yesterday, I was sitting here thinking "You have NO idea"
