Well, this September isn't exactly going to go down as one DOND's most fondly remembered periods. Forgettable deals, 127 of these being 3rd offer deals, intercepted with unavoidable blue wins. Not anyone's cup of classic tea.

We can only hope that the first show of October will bring about a change in fortune before the new recording season debuts with the Halloween shows. We can also hope that the monotonous selecting of players on only their 22nd show comes to an end today. The record is 7 in a row, we are currently on 5 and if today's contestant is Barbara, it will be the 6th in a row.

Anyone up for Hotal GB ? Looks pretty fascinating if I'm honest. Channel 4 announcer welcomes us into ''Monday's Deal or No Deal''.

Will Noel hark on about Bob's game yesterday. What will he label him as, a coward ? Unfortunate ? Or both ? Ah, he's talking about players *never* making the right decision in September, oh he's talking about Bob - ''he could have got so much more, timing was wrong'' - yep, he's a coward. Bless you, Noel.

Player today is....

OLLIE

Oliver is a retained Firefighter from Topsham (not Shropshire) and is also a Disc Jockey :P (Noel knows a bit about that...)

Ollie has brought a badge with him, it belonged to a lieutenant who was one of the first firefighters on scene at the twin towers during 9/11. It is here as a 'good luck' token. He also has a photograph, it depicts his daughter, who was actually born on the same birth date as Ollie (his 21st).

He talks about his previous long-term relationship with Roxy, a 6-year one, and how he had to break it off because he discovered he was gay. Roxy was mature about this and let Ollie go and he has his 'life partner', Jack, in the audience. Noel is impressed with his decision to change his life like this. He also has his Mum and Dad and Sister in the audience.

Let's do this... !

errr wtf.

I'm dealing here.

£19,000 for opening 5 boxes. Thank you very much.

Sure, we can prob get a bit more if we carry on and expect future generosity, but this is £19,000 completely risk free.

The Banker talks about how Ollie has become a fantastic combination of board reading skills and high numbers in his box.

Thankfully he didn't deal... very much worth another round.

Banker has just revealed that offer is now £19,000

I'm dealing I think. Maybe push it for one more... but wow, I'm 60% likely to deal here.

Ollie rightfully points out how remarkbale this is, but he's ready...

NO DEAL

Break time !

Just out of interest, what's the highest ever opening offer? 19k is probably up there.

£24,000 I think. It was during one of the special shows I think.

It's clear that he is going to deal at the third offer... judging by the time.

Wrighty - £24,000 (because £500k was on the board)
Rich - £20,000 (regular game)

£24,000 was the highest in a £500k game.

For a regular game ? It's £20,000, given to both Matt (Sep 2006) and Rich (Feb 2012).

I'd have probably asked for a quiet word in the producers ears:

"Look. I'm dealing £19,000 but I realise that won't make for interesting TV. I'll say ND but I want my £19,000."

We're back !

Noel talks about Ollie's board reading skills which netted him a £19,000 opening offer.

All blue round ? Let's have it...

Steve (Box 4) - £250

Don't celebrate too soon...

Sue (Box 6) - £3,000 That's ok...

Ollie points out that the £3k was a safety net and is a good amount of money. Good man !

Kayleigh (Box 7) - £75,000 F*CK
