Just tuned in; what a weird sounding game this has been so far.

Round 4

18 - Veronica - £3,000

8 - Newbie - £100

Noel gets Mo to stand in front of the block of 3 and tells Lecia to focus on the other numbers. So Mo turns around and starts looking at them too!

9 - Theo - £35,000

A sting, but it's the lowest.

Mo slips back to his spot having failed as guardian of the top 3.

Both Noel and Lecia correctly read that although that was blue it was a good blue.

These days Noel makes way too much of differentiating between the size of the blues. When the average box she had left was well into 5 figures how could taking out the £500 be seen as anything other than a good thing?

Methinks that Noel has been told to give the banker some 'wriggle room' with his offers by sounding a (false) note of caution even when things are going well for the player.

The banker says we at home should have worked out what the next offer is going to be and we now have 3 minutes of adverts to think about it.

Any ideas?

Only 10 minutes to go after the break, she probably will accept the offer.

It's to do with the final 2 really. Imagine finishing with 1p/£10,000 or £500/£10,000. You'll get a much better offer with the second as £500 is at least some sort of safety net at this point whereas the first example is all or nothing.

Well, I'd say a stick at least. Maybe £10,000, or just under.

We return. Noel doesn't even know what the offer is. But the banker rectifies this by phoning and telling him.

Banker's offer:

£7,531

And a stick it is. Don't know what I'd do here.

Carl says it's a good offer, and I agree with him.

Ollie says if she takes one out she'd have to go all the way.

I reckon this is a deal...

DEAL

Let's smash this! (Lecia's words, not mine)

Round Five

22 - Simon - £50

15 - Gill - £75,000

Lecia jumps about in happiness. With the shoes she's wearing I'm not quite sure how she manages to do that.

2 - John - 50p

Another stick?

Lecia's Box 19 had £750

Which left Margaret with the 1p

Lecia says she feels fantastic and it was a wonderful experience. She's going to use the money to go to Africa for her 21st.

She seems genuinely delighted!

Good game that I think. Shame there wasn't some bigger money involved but she was a good reader of the board and was rewarded for it. A lot of players would be forced to open their box there...

Not too bad a game. Arguable either way offer, and thankfully she jumped the right way. Good for her! :smt023

And thank you to cfd for stepping in again today! :smt023
