These days Noel makes way too much of differentiating between the size of the blues. When the average box she had left was well into 5 figures how could taking out the £500 be seen as anything other than a good thing?

Methinks that Noel has been told to give the banker some 'wriggle room' with his offers by sounding a (false) note of caution even when things are going well for the player.

The banker says we at home should have worked out what the next offer is going to be and we now have 3 minutes of adverts to think about it.

It's to do with the final 2 really. Imagine finishing with 1p/£10,000 or £500/£10,000. You'll get a much better offer with the second as £500 is at least some sort of safety net at this point whereas the first example is all or nothing.

Well, I'd say a stick at least. Maybe £10,000, or just under.

Good game that I think. Shame there wasn't some bigger money involved but she was a good reader of the board and was rewarded for it. A lot of players would be forced to open their box there...
