Another end of massive contrasts says Noel. The Banker says this would have been a tough offer for him to make and pitch correctly.

Banker's offer would've been:

£26,000

Box 15 with Helen contains the £75,000

Darren says the whole experience has been magnificent, and being so shy never thought he would ever get on the show.

Phew, that was close!

Good game, well played by both sides. Both can be pleased with that.

No Banker's gamble then. It was only one deal too soon, but there was a bit of faffing around in this game that almost put me off.

It made me laugh when Noel was waiting for the phone to ring. I was dreading the Banker ringing back and saying £24,000.

Thanks for the kind words guys, Im actually dissapointed not to get the famous "OH DEAER OH DEAR" from mark!! What can I say. My board at 11 box was very much squeaky bum time. Getting to 8 box with 2 biggies left and knowing that the odds were just 37.5 to take out the 250k. If i had a mid red say 15, 20k I may have gone on. I too could not believe the offers I was getting, and thought them very generous. To be honest I was dealing at 21k, to get 2 phonecalls and an extra 2 k was superb :smt023. On the live show, I actually got a 3rd phonecall !!!!!!! I thought omg ? then noel said 23000, and a postcard to be sent from Disney!. I was most fortunate to get on the show, and I simply had the best time.
Before I actually went for my games I read this forum quite alot and found it most useful Thanks alot to all the guys who help run it.

Cheers 8)

Haha, there's a first ! Besides, you wouldn't have got it anyway, with the blue being there. Mark isn't really bothered by 'one too early' games as long as a Power 5 isn't undersold...

Thanks for logging in to the forums and hope you enjoy the money ! :-D

Well played Darren, and congrats on whatever it was for the banker to give you such great offered - £23k was fantastic with only two large amounts above it then a drop back to £1k! :)

(But you're right it that Mark would have said the same either way if you had a biggie in your box after a deal like that or if you'd dealt the 3rd offer with all the power 5 there). :)

Tuned in at 8-box. I was very surprised when the banker phoned and upped the offer, as I was sure Darren was going to deal £21k - I think the banker cost himself an extra £2k with that.

Some will say that by dealing at 8-box, Darren was influenced to be cautious by yesterday's game, but the fact is those offers were VERY generous - I definitely wouldn't have expected more than £20k on that board. I was relieved when the £1 was revealed in his box - it would have been awful to think that Mariyam's game would have been followed by the sort of game where only a player with her attitude would have won a power 5 amount.

Well done on your win Darren and enjoy the money, and be glad you didn't get Mark's OD treatment - he'd probably have chucked in a bunch of insults (which he often does), all over something which was basically out of your control.

It's nice to see a contestant on here. I don't post here all the time but I think it's ages since we had a contestant from the show posting on here.

Oh and there are worse people than Mark. Talk about a sad state of affairs.

I think Carland was the last one I remember before Darren.

And having read those comments on Facebook (I knew I shouldn't have but couldn't resist) I think Mark isn't half as bad as THAT user.

Mark is annoyingly robotic, BUT does shut up and accept it when a player deals AND it proves to be the right, or mostly right, choice to make, albeit hindsight based.

Idiot boy Wilson has got to be one of the most gutless and repulsive personalities I've ever come across. I was tempted to call him Jabba the Hut is resposnse to his 'dark sith' comment...

Yeah. Mark is quite friendly outside of the DOND discussion forums. SrWilson seems to be a total douchebag.

Surprisingly generous offers from the Banker there, given how quickly Darren decimated the reds. He could have easily forced him to the end with the board as weak as it was.

Well played by both sides, Darren took a very respectable offer and even if he could have got considerably more it shouldn't be ignored that he made a substantial profit on his box

Yep. 3/11 to be exact (which is 27.2727272727......%)

Fairly easy decision for me at 8-box today with only 35.7% chance of keeping the top 2 in play (and £40k was probably about right for the proveout).

Well done Darren.

I've been winding the other one up today of facebook. Perhaps I shouldn't have but I couldn't resist but it is peeing into the wind trying to get through to that stay with his granny muppet. I could understand the all the way everyday mentality a bit more if they lost in the end, but Darren won, and would have ended with a blue if he had played it that way. He had an eight box offer that was nearly 3 times mine on the same sort of board, and I went on one round and my offer which I dealt at was one grand more when he would have had 40k which I don't doubt (sometimes they seem overinflated). Anyway, one round two soon is always better than one round too late.
