And, were I still in live play, I'd definitely have taken that!

Well only Mark would turn £42k down.

Round 6 - proveout

Noel says the banker would've taken him seriously as he'd have been scared.

21 - Katie - £75,000

9 - Sarah - £250,000 :D

13 - Li Ping - £3,000

Banker time with £1 and £500 remaining...

PHEW!!!!

Good result for both sides there. Banker did well to get him out at £28,250 so one offer too soon was fair enough but neither did Wayne deserve to undersell the £75k or £250k!! :)

Noel opens Wayne's box 19 and reveals £500

Box 1 with Pauline contains the £1

Wayne talks about what he'll do with the money.

That's a win in my book, as proveout offers are strictly make-believe. Indeed, sometimes they're a bit over-inflated.
Congrats to Wayne, and enjoy the money :smt023.

Didn't see this game today, but looking at the board at 8-box, anyone could say that cautiousness struck again and it nearly costed the player big. But the crash arrived by 2-box, leaving it balanced out if possible.

Overall, a nice game to finish the week.

The difference here for me is that some players would have dealt on that board for under 20 grand. There's no way on earth Wayne would have done that. :)

Ah, great game to round off the week. The offers were unusually generous, and deservedly so. I would have probably dealt the governer at 8 box, especially as i wouldn't have been expecting the banker to go above £20k, kudos to Mark for squeezing an extra £2,250 out of him.

Unlucky the proveout didn't completely go his way but at least he has the vindication of knowing he made a more than healthy profit on his box

Fair Deal:
The Fair deal stat is a bit more complicated than the previous but it does provide an interesting insight into how good the offer is. It is measured by taking the average of the square root of every amount left on the board which is then squared, on a full board the fair deal is £9,215.40.

The only reason for going today at 8-box would have been negotiating an offer that generous at 5-box if the £250k stayed but it probably wasn't worth the risk.
