Has anyone got any stats on the Banker's gamble, i.e how many times it's been offered and how many times it's been taken?

I would be surprised if more than 5% of people have taken it and I should think you can count on one hand the amount of people who have taken it when they're risking a significant amount of money.

I would happily see them do away with it altogether but if it must stay, then the Banker should be sensible enough to only offer it when there's a chance that the player will take it.

It's been offered more times and less for accepting it.

To be fair, with the offer pattern today, somewhere in the region of £30-£40k for that final 2 wouldn't have raised too many eyebrows.

We're almost back in the territory of the celebrity charity games because when Ali was talking about wanting to use the money to send to the Gambia, you just can't risk £40k (given how many lives that could save and the fact that he was a multi-millionaire celebrity)

Mark, you obviously don't care about anyone...10p could have quite easily been on the table and would not change ANY lives...at least £40k will...

Mark, you can't insta-ban someone who hasn't done anything wrong. Man, you'd make a cruddy mod. :smt023

Even though I'm finding this a bit amusing, it is getting out of hand now.

Yes it is.

I have said all I wanted to do with this game.

So far this week (with Sunday's game still to be shown) for the game of the month... looks like Monday's game is getting my vote.

Tuesday = NO way.
Wednesday = If it wasn't for a third round deal then maybe.
Yesterday = 1p... not sure yet.
Today = Nope.

LOL says the ringleader! :lol: :lol:

VERY good game from a local ish contestant, loved his enthusiasm, loved the way he played the game, such a shame he missed out but oh well because his and his family's lives are now transformed. :D

It would have been a very good game if the £100,000 hadn't been in the box.

Did have him down as a little cautious as to what he said when the first offer was announced.

Mark = *beep*

Wanting someone to gamble £40k for a 50/50 chance of going home with 2.5 times more, or 400,000 times less???

*beep*.

End Of.
