3 box offer of £24k meant that to gamble that you'd need an EV of more than that, so that meant the £100k/£5k and £100k/£10 offers adding up to a total of over £70k and given we're in 2012 and not 2006, that was never going to happen.

I can't help but wonder if these Easter Specials were decided upon at the last minute?

Sad anorak alert fact: the last 3 boxes today were the same as they were exactly 5 years ago today which also happened to be Good Friday (and also an OPW). Also on both occasions the £100 was in Box 6.

Totally didn't realise today was the biggest win since Jess. £26k is a very poor highest win of a month so I guess Mark and RMF have a point.

And that was the first themed show with the contestants NOT wearing silly costumes for around 5 years too probably.

My first thought was that they'd really cut the budget for the specials this time around - no costumes or set decoration, a recycled twist from 2006 (?) and the Banker employing Chld labour to paint the boxes - but you may well be right, with the run of bad luck the contestants have had thoughout March the specials may have been a late decision to try and encourage players to gamble more or just pep up the show in general

I thought that was a great show Phyl was a funny and entertaining charector but the show didn't get lost in silliness. The 5 box twist really paid off for her and that was the most perfectly timed exit.

Blimey she must have done something right, even Mark isn't being cynical about the result
